you free to act on what has happened to date, or back story, more info will be coming later, but I wanted the plot right where it is :)
I'd say you have about 2-3 hours of starter roleplay to make introductions etc, before anything else is posted.

I was planning on filling in the npc crew as needed, most are classless npcs, some may have a tradeskill or class level or two, but none should overshadow the pcs at this point.
I figure your a bit over normal capacity, so there's probably about 6 or 7 sailors (unless you as heroes want to fill in) which is adequate for a vessel this size, but conditions are cramped with a few large sized races on board, and about 40-47ish people.
Also, I bet most people might be sleeping, so I may wait longer before more plot starts.

Captain on deck indeed! I had time to write everything out for my equipment list, but I haven't had the time in the past few days (due to a family emergency) to put it up. It'll be up in an hour or so, along with the updated Ship's statistics.

Don't stress over what gear you haven't written in yet, just get to it when you get to it. Oh and I granted a Caravel ship, bit bigger than the original ship idea. Per Stormwrack if you want to keep tabs on stats.
Current occupancy 45, 8 of that number are former sailors with actual ship know how, the rest where townsmen and woman, or tribal races that banded together to escape.
General Info:
In the months prior to leaving most races learned to work together, so there is little racial tensions, save those reserved for the Dwarven people, though there are small clicks or groups that tend to stick around each other.
I've randomly generated some npcs and here is the headcount, in case you want/need it.
There are 45 total, not counting the heroes. Conditions are a bit cramped, but not so much to be unhealthy.
The boat crew consists of these NPCs:
I will generate more npcs later, but these are more active as they are taking orders from the captain and usually available on deck. Some have begun teaching other NPCs the trade, so they can get some rotations started.
Kai will most like learning new skills from those willing to teach while going about his business as quartermaster. He is always on the move throughout the day and settles down when night falls, mainly because he gets very sluggish when its cold. Other then bedding down with the rest of his kind he sometimes spends his nights wrapped in his cloak.
Tried to throw in some skill checks to liven up my first post, hopefully theres no issues with that. ( ^_^)-d
it'll be interesting to see what the rest of the npc's turn out to be but until then it'll fun to Rp a bit while we wait. ;)

Also, I was just looking over the live thread and the time of day wasn't mentioned. Is it morning? Early? and what are the skies like? I presume there is a sun, and that there is a day/night interval of about 24 hours - is there a moon? more than one? A ring? constellations?
For that matter, are there clouds? And are they the 'normal' type, or something else? ...I kind of imagine the scene at the end of The Quiet Earth...
I don't mean to be a pest, but this is the kind of thing I think about. In my old campaign setting, the first thing I established was that the skies are inhabited, at every level. The Cloud Giants who rode atop the Unshaded Islands were a constant presence, some of the other planets were plainly visible, and the night sky was dominated by a nebula that took the shape of a titanic dragon with a star between it's teeth.
Presume it's mid-day, about 1:30 IMO. It's what I'm doing, and it seems to be working. Of course, if Willpower wishes to change that, I don't mind.
The other details, I haven't a clue, obviously.
I've just rolled with what everyone else is doing mainly xD and since i wasn't the first poster that made it easier to kinda fall in and roll. If anybody doesn't like my characters constant analyzing of their character, then let me know and i'll tone it down a notch.
Trying to RP him more as an inquisitive , if somewhat suspicious, lizardfolk.
As far as i can tell, I'm pretty satisfied. I see us all doing what we're meant to do, and I, for the record, Will, am aiding the ship's sailing with my wonderful skills.
The Caravel qualifies me for both Dread Cap'n and Legendary Cap'n classes, too, so now I get to decide which I want to work towards more!

The one thing i don't know and only the DM can answer, but i don't want to assume for the sake of RP, is if the lizardfolk on-board are of his tribe or not.
Yikes Suny, that is a good pic lol although I assume she has more clothes then that unless she is like the sea folk in the Wheel of Time series. But somehow I doubt that. =)
So far i'm going for a ranged build upto 12-15 lvl but i may go for some type of sailor/captain class depending on how this PbP goes. It would be scary to see an entire ship full of lizardfolk sailing into battle or exploring the horizon.
A small armada could take this ocean by storm, maybe not below the ocean but what little lies above the waves.
Also i apologize for typing too much lol, I read alot of fantasy/SciFi books and am never happy with a small response unless absolutely necessary. So i tend to write like a bloody novelist :p

Th' individual known as "Jolly Jack" is an awesome Cartoonist. Though some of the art upon his DeviantART site is not 'Safe for Work" viewing, this cartoon certainly is.
By the lines on the piece you linked to Kai'itza, I'd hazard a guess as to it being originally from the same fellow that illustrated the 2nd Edition 'Plane Scape' setting. Di'tollery or some such exotic sounding thing of a name it was too.

Also to clarify my last post I was Just Kidding lol. I was reading it over and I didn't want to sound like a jerk ^^;;
I'm not to sure who the artist is other then i did a search on lizardfolk and it was the first one so lol. But it depicts Kai very very well except for one or two of his frills. But it is definitely nice to have a pic for people to visualize with.
I blame the lot of you scalawags fo' making me find a ref'rence picture for my character.
Sadly, the best I could find was without the outfit appropriate, an' this came closest with it. Just recolor the reds dark blues, and we're pretty accurate.

I was randomly generating the NPCs, but I was assuming at least one from his tribe would be there. So I will most likely assume of those that are there they would most likely be from your tribe.
i should ask though, do you "want" them to be of your tribe? or does it not matter to you? I'd be fine with going either way.

I just assumed that any males of age would have gone to fight and mostly women, children and eggs would have been allowed to escape the carnage. Even if they are not from his tribe he will be cordial, especially now that everyone is in the same boat *pardon the pun* and the idea of tribes and societies is probably lost to the winds. So if he ends up joining a different tribe then its all good. =)

I'll check it out tomorrow morning, I'm on EST here and it's getting late. I've tried to go very easy on back story approval, as i changed the time line, plot on you guys once or twice so it was a kinda rough start which I take the blame for :)

Ok. I think Olek is gonna be a cool character and fit just swell in the already quite special cast. Can't wait to get him properly done. And the journey seems to be starting out just fine. Looking forward to be a part of this game.

Sorry for my lack of posting on Saturday. It's one of my busiest days, as is today - for the weekend is when we in my family do all our hard work and yard chores. Let's show this storm what-for!

Na we aren't using the pathfinder books at all its all 3.0 and 3.5 as approved by the dm, sorry bro xD had to through a wrench in your gears, my bad. No need to apologize either lol, some of us lead busier lives then others.
@ everybody (just a suggestion)
Also don't forget to list skills that you can use untrained, because that will give you a significant list (even if it seems shoddy at least then you know what you can and can't roll on) I mainly say that because since i don't have a class yet other then monstrous humanoid with nothing but balance climb and swim as skills lol. Just a suggestion ^^; i made a somewhat complicated skill list, tried to mimic what was in the players handbook with acronyms at the bottom of the list to represent what everything means.
