Meh. I'm here all the time anyway and read them when they're posted for the most part. It's all old news by the time I get the e-mail.
On a related topic, can I opt out of getting the store e-mail without missing out on the discounts/holiday cards that come along every once in a while?

Yes! Just visit your Privacy Settings page, and uncheck "Paizo may send me the weekly store newsletter by email", but leave "Paizo may send me marketing information about Paizo products, services or events by email" checked.
(If we end up offering the Paizo Blog as a weekly mailing, we'll add an opt-in checkbox specifically for it as well.)

When we launched the store, and were doing traditional magazine subscriptions, we'd occasionally send "you never renewed your subscription—can we convince you to come back?" types of mailings. Nowadays, our ongoing subscriptions have thankfully done away with the need for renewal notices.
In short, we no longer send things by mail very often at all—but we *have* used that setting once or twice in the last few years when we mailed out holiday cards.
By posting this on the messageboards, you're probably going to get a lot of people like me that read the blogs everyday anyway. That's not to say there's not a bunch of Paizo customers out there who are less *ahem* obsessed and who miss out on a lot of neat stuff in the Paizo blog. I imagine it would be good marketing not just to say "Hey, this is in stock now," as in the store blog, but "Look at the cool stuff that's coming up soon; start anticipating it!"
If there is an ability to opt out for those who are on here every day, then I can't see it as a bad thing to add.
