Like 10 years ago one of my friends played one of those, I think it is better left off, going to town was always tricky, gear mad no sense, and we eat 3 halflings and a gnome before we had to put him done. Not as bad as the mummy in a party of 3rd level character?
So James what was the most troublesome Character or Player and what was you resolution to the problem, either a game you ran or played in?

Had to cut that game short and play psychologist for a bit.
Or then there was the two who wanted to split off from the rest of the party to do their own thing; I ran two simultaneous campaigns in the same world for a while, but when it became apparent that the two who split off only wanted to sabotage and mess with the other group, I ended their campaign and focused on just the one.
Then there was the guy who ran his characters as NPCs in the game he was running and gave them all sorts of cool treasure; I ended up running a Call of Cthulhu game at the same time he ran his game and all of his players defected to mine and he got all cranky and posted on his door in the dorms a news release that summarized all the fates of the characters in HIS campaign and how they all met with terrible ends, but his own characters won the lottery. Class act.
Jeez...!

There's a lot of PrCs that are found within various APs and small supplements. Any chance they will all be complied in the semi-near future??
Some seem really interesting, but if I don't plan to run a whole AP, I'd rather not buy just one part for a PrC, especially if it's a middle book.
PS,
More Drow love please!!

joela wrote:Did you submit an entry to the WotC campaign/setting contest?I did. It was a frozen world. I'm pretty sure in hindsight that it didn't make it far because R&D was looking for a new setting that was more of a kitchen sink where ANYTHING and EVERYTHING could get thrown in there. Which is kind of unfortunate, since they already had two of those settings that worked great (Greyhawk and Forgotten Realms). Ah well. I got to help write Frostburn so a fair amount of my ideas about frozen stuff got in print in D&D anyway!
Ah, Frostburn is one of my favorite 3.5 supplements!

How would teach Pathfinder to a new gamer?
By playing the game and not asking him/her to read the rulebook. Give the new gamer a 1st level character, or help them create one, and then have some other friends over and run the new gamer though an adventure. It might be helpful, even, for the new gamer to simply watch the game played for a few hours to see how it works.
Eventually, we'll have an intro game for Pathifnder. Hopefully by next year.

What differences, if any, have you noted between male and female gamers?
Not much, really. I've seen plenty of guys who are into combat and plenty of women who are as well; I've seen guys into roleplaying and women as well. I've seen annoying jerks on both sides of the gender line. I've seen great GMs of both genders. I've seen number crunchers on both sides.
Overall, I guess the main difference is that guys tend to be a bit more aggressive and annoying than women. But that's kind of how guys are in my experience. :-P

When roleplaying female characters, do you do anything to give it an aura of authenticity? What about when you roleplay a non-human race (of either sex)?
I end up correcting other players a lot when they refer to my character as a "He" instead of a "She" but I don't speak in a funny voice or anything. I often DO use a funny voice when I'm roleplaying a non-human character though, which almost always happens when I GM and I'm presenting weirdo NPCs.

No prestige class compilations in the near or semi-near future. We don't have enough, yet. Some day, perhaps...
We'll have a few drow NPCs soon, but judging from general feedback about "Second Darkness" the blush is off that rose and folks, overall, aren't too keen on more drow stuff. That said, if you haven't checked out Second Darkness... you should! There's lots of cool drow stuff in there! In "Into the Darklands" too!

Paizo has explained ad nauseum why it won't generate a monthly mag. Thoughts on a quarterly mag similar to KQ? Even better, the "Pathfinder Quarterly" could go on sale on different months not to conflict with KQ.
Magazines are not something we're interested in doing; monthly, bimonthly, quarterly, or whatever. In order to do a magazine successfully, you either need to be a small company with a small but devoted market, or you need to be an ENORMOUS company with a lot of momentum already in the magazine market (or you need to have millions of dollars and no desire to make money once you spend those millions for a few years at least).
KQ is doing a great job being the go-to gaming magazine these days anyway, and I'd rather not step on Wolfgang's toes at all.

Yup; it'll start next year at Gen Con. The AP begins in Sandpoint, then journeys over the top of the world, so the last half takes place in Minkai, where the ninjas and samurais and the onis and so on live.

Do you ever get weirded out by the idea that some folks are logging on at the start of their day while you have yet to finish yours?
Nope. I periodically get annoyed at the East Coast thinking that the world revolves around their time zone when it OBVIOUSLY revolves around the Pacific time zone, but that's a different story.

Then you must think Greenwich mean time is an abomination.
