Hello James. A simple one: do elementals have souls?
(PS: customer feedback - I'm loving 2nd edition, and Luis and Eleanor are going great work).
Yup; elementals have souls. Elemental souls are one of the ways evil spellcasters animate golems (the good ones prefer to use sparks of positive energy or other options).

Why do people have such over-the-top reactions to puns? I genuinely enjoy them, but it seems like they're reviled as the lowest of the low-brow on the internet?
(I do know that it's not polite to use them in a game if your GM or fellow player is trying to be dramatic, don't undecut other people's fun for your own and all that, but that rule applies to other forms of in-game humor as well like slapstick or joke characters, so I'm still not sure what makes puns so much more deserving of scorn.)

Good question. I'm not sure. I know that I enjoy them, in the right context, but they bug me when they're used to disrupt a mood. And since they can function as a time bomb, with folks hearing them and then not getting them immediately, their disruptive effect can be difficult to anticipate if you're trying to maintain a specific tone during a scene in an RPG... ESPECIALLY if other players (or the GM even) sees the pun as a challenge.
So, I guess it's not that people don't have an over-the-top reaction to puns so much as they do to having the thread of the conversation disrupted by irreverent wordplay. And puns are subtle and invasive in a way that makes them easier and more tempting for folks to use when a plain old joke would be more awkward to insert into an ongoing conversation, perhaps?

What do giants have think of Bigfoot like cryptids on golarion?
I'm having trouble understanding this question.
If it's "What do giants think of cryptids?" then the answer is that they generally think of them like anyone else; they don't have any special opinions on the matter.
If it's "Do giants have their own cryptids in their belief cycles?" then absolutely yes! That's a fun plotline to chase, and it's sort of the role played by mountain giants already (see 1st edition's Bestiary 6).

Weasels is weasels, I reckon.
So, we know Godzilla is near and dear to your heart- were there any Toho kaiju that just never did it for you?

I never really liked Jet Jaguar, but he barely even counts as a kaiju.
There's certainly some super minor ones, like the giant buzzard on Monster Island, but they're mostly inconsequential.
Of the Toho kaiju who have significant roles in the films... hmmmm. I suppose I was never a big fan of Space Godzilla, but that's in part because I didn't like that movie itself that much.
And as a kid I didn't like King Caesar much; he looked too human for my tastes. But now, I'm quite a bit more intrigued by him.

Your favorite take on Ghidorah?
The latest one from Godzilla King of the Monsters is pretty great. I also like his appearance in Giant Monsters All-Out Attack (that's probably my favorite Toho Godzilla movie), even though he's more of a good guy in that one. Beyond that, I guess I have a soft spot in my heart for the first move he was in, The Three-Headed Monster. I've only seen the 1991 version of Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah once, in pan-and-scan and dubbed; I own the widescreen subtitled version on blu-ray so I should see about watching that again for the "first time." Since I just turned in the words to my latest writing project, I'll have time for things like that again! IN THEORY (gives the Kingmaker project which hits my desk tomorrow the side-eye...)

Are you going to be involved in the soon to be developed Wrath of the Righteous computer game like you were for Kingmaker?
I've been involved in Wrath of the Righteous in the same extent as Creative Director, helping them to shape the story and approving their plots and working with Sarah to approve the art from the start—they started working on this many, many months ago. So... yup!

It is for Paizo. But whether or not it was or isn't, I can't give hints about it other than the number of words, since until a project is announced it can't be announced, and I am not the one who gets to make the final decision of when we announce products. I can advise and suggest and request, but the "go" order is above my pay-grade.
My GUESS is that it'll be announced at Paizocon, though.

Hello, starting fall of plaguestone soon as a cleric of Iomedae. In my bg I decided that I defected from the hellknights, the godclaw to be more precise (then went to Lastwall, but that is OT). I escaped from Citadel Dinyar around the time of the Glorious Reclamation assault (4715 ar).
I didn't find much info about what happened around that time to the citadel, leaving aside it was temporary conquered. Are there some crucial information about the state of the order I might have overseen which might be useful, considering the adventure starts in Isger? Thank you for your time.
Ps: is it just me or behind the crimson reclaimers rituals is Arazni? I mean, it makes sense, considering Arazni mindset, the goals and feelings about the past of that faction and even tollerance of lots of non-evil undead in their ranks.

Lost Omens Character Guide contains the bulk of what we've said in 2nd edition about Hellknights, but we haven't said much, as far as I know, about what happened with the Godclaw post-Hell's Vengeance, other than that the order is indeed still around. So you've pretty much got a blank check as to how you and your GM want to handle that topic in your game.
We may or may not have more to say about the Crimson Reclaimers in the future. Arazni is certainly a possibly, but I sorta think it's too obvious of a choice and that it's something else. We'll see some day, maybe...

Is "obviousness" a bad thing in this situation?
Not everyone at Paizo necessarily wants the same thing, so when it comes to deciding what is or isn't the case, it's more complicated than me just saying "This is it." Especially for something like the Crimson Recruiters, which I had no direct part in the creation of. It's an element of the game that was added by someone else and before anyone says what is or isn't the case there, I need to look into things more to make sure that the intent is what the intent should be.

What's something you added in P2 thus far that you're really happy about?
I don't think of it as adding to P2 when I create new stories or lore, to be honest, since the stories and lore would have been things that we added anyway as a result of advancing the timeline. In that category, my favorite thing is probably CN Nocticula, but that was already well in motion in 1st edition. I'm also pretty happy with the growing lore of the Ashen Man, but again, he was doing stuff as early as the Sandpoint book back in 1st edition.
There's not really anything I've done yet that's purely brand new creation stuff for Golarion that I hadn't already started working on in 1st edition in some way. Beyond building stat blocks for monsters in adventures and developing stuff other folks have written, I've not really had any actual "rules content" I've created get put into print yet. Again, aside from some monsters. I like how Treerazer turned out, for example. And there's some stuff in the project I just finished writing that's still unannounced and that I can't talk about yet...
I guess I'm not sure what you're asking, but maybe how I answered it did the trick?

What movies have you seen recently?
Been writing the past few weeks, and when I watch stuff lately it's been Youtube Let's Play videos or TV shows—Picard, The Outsider, The Witcher, Pandemic, Discovery, Walking Dead, Better Call Saul, etc. Or it's been movies that I've seen before—Alien, Mimic, The Fog, etc.
A few that I have seen recently that were good:
Memory (a documentary about Alien)
Parasite (well deserving its Oscar wins)
Hmm that's all that come to mind.
I'm hoping to see The Lodge and Invisible Man this week/weekend.

Hm. Just found this site. Have you seen it?
Probably. I don't regularly visit any kaiju sites, but when I do, I shotgun approach and visit several for news.
EDIT: Just fell into a rabbit hole on that site. I hadn't visited it before, but it's pretty dang amazing. Well done site, and it reminded me I needed to buy "Tarantula!" on blu-ray! Thanks for the link!

I see. After looking at all the material, even the pantheon in gods and magic, I have to guess that Zon-Kuthon didn't turn out to be the "sixth finger"... Yet, at least :P
While we are in topic, what order of the hellknights do you prefer and why? Even in the minor ones (for example I find fascinating there is one of pretty good guys in Ravounel).

I'm kinda fond of the Order of the Torrent, them being the ones I've had the most work at building up. But the Order of the Nail is fun too.

At risk of being guilty of disguising a recommendation as a question: Have you seen the comic Kaijumax? It's an Oz-style prison story with kaiju as inmates and Ultraman-style guards, and it's both very funny and occasionally heart-wrenching, with lots of inside jokes and references to the kaiju genre.

Hi James, I hope the day of finding you well.
Was Achaekek always a giant insect, or did that only happen after he consumed his own impartiality?
On a related note, when are we likely to see more Windsong testaments? They seem to be quite the hit.
He was always a mantis.
I've only written the 5 installments, and there was one more by another author in the meantime. There are no plans to do any more in the next few months.
