OK, I have a player playing a level 11 fighter. With a BAB of 11/6/1
He had weapon training 2, weapon focus, and weapon specialization all in warhammers. He also uses a +2 warhammer and he has a strength of 18.
With all of this he should be hitting with a +10 to damage if I did my math right.
Now my player always power attacks and at his level he can take a -3 penalty because of his BAB so in return he gets an extra +6 damage on all his attacks that round he uses power attack. Do I have this correct?
If he was using a two-handed weapon the bonus increases by 50% he would get a +9 to damage correct?
Now is the bonus based off the highest BAB of his +11 or does the next attack of +6 recalculate that next attack kind of like he was running out of steam?

OK, that is what I thought. Although even if it did make it more crunchy it would be neat as a house rule for the purposes of verisimilitude.
However, I don't like to much crunch so I will just leave it as is.
+1 i had the same thoughts

Ya it kind of made sense to me because it would be like they were running out of steam.
