Dont people have any class or manners, I have no respect for people that start threads with bonehead demands for attention.

How old are these people they are acting like spoilt toddlers?

If somebody came up to them in their work place or home and acted as poorly as they have they would think what a jerk.

The Majority of Paizo were at GenCon so questions could not be answered straight away - Some arsehats started bashing away without giving the guys that wrote the book a chance to respond.

Have some class and respect frame your questions politely, and coherently. Don't start your thread WTF because you are swearing or (cussing)even if it is abbreviated. Saying something is broken is incredibly childish ask for a clarification and context and give an example and then if it still doesn't fit choose not to use it.

"I have some concerns about the blah feat" or "Can you explain this aspect of this spell" Give people a chance to come into the thread with an accurate response to your concern.

If a thread starts with OMG or WTF I am not going to bother with it as appears to me the author of the thread lacks the maturity to present a discussion about a legitimate concern over some aspect of the rules. That poster probably is snarky because their 99th level Anti-Paladin Ninja Wizard with the +45 flaming Vorpral sword of instant doom is not going to be able to kill 1 billion orcs with great cleave any more.

And yes I realise the hypocrisy of starting my thread heading with OMG WTF........

Sovereign Court

But...but...how else will they prove they're smarter than everyone else, including the Paizo staff?

Proving/disproving the existence of the Higgs boson beyond all reasonable doubt. (Tge thing that made me decide all the tax-money spent on the LHC are worth it was when one of the physicists involved said that he hoped the experiments would prove that they had been wrong- since that meant they would have to come up with a whole new way of explaining some of the more mind-bending aspects of how the universe works.)

Your assumptions that the person voicing their opinion is a powergaming munchkin is a bit asinine. Your right that they should have a nicer thread title is correct, however.

Yeh it is a bit asinine, but I am snippy, mean, a little grumpy and a lot shallow. So if it ticks somebody off because I equated their poor manners with my image of them being some 12 year old Warhammer playing cheese lord then boo-hoo for them.

Thank you for pressing 1! Your party's magical items are being deactivated. A unit of 50 [Rapist Tarrasque] are being dispatched now to execute the TPK protocol. Thank you for calling Kill-o-matic, for all your party killing needs. And remember, if your PCs aren't weeping in despair, you didn't use KOM!

The 8th Dwarf wrote:

Indeed.

But why do you write a post dedicated to demanding respect from other people and then riddle it with insults (boneheaded, asshats, childish...) ? This kind of defeats the purpose of your post and makes you look like someone more interested in evoking emotional reactions than a discussion on the topic of respect.

I'm not demanding people respect me... I expressing my disappointment at the lack of good-manners and demonstrating how a such a display of lack of cool and style lessens my opinion of the poster thus my reference to boneheaded, asshats, childish...

Out bursts like "What the F&**" and "What the hell" are perfect examples of childish behaviour. I do not tolerate such behaviour from my children and I do not tolerate it in my workplace.

Yes you are right my post was designed to provoke an emotional response. The emotions I was aiming at were regret for not taking into account the feelings poor customer service person or author that has to deal with the abusive post, embarrassment for showing a lack of manners, and shame enough so that next time the poster has a complaint they wont "nuke the target from orbit" but construct a polite and well thought out request for assistance.

There are many people in the world that are suffering from disease, starving, being shot at, denied their basic rights they all have the right to say "what the f&#$"... some fat bearded geek in his (or her) undies sitting at his (or her) computer having a fit because the rules to his (or her) game of make believe are a little different to before, does not.

EDIT: I am fat and have a beard - I am fully dressed at the moment... with the right motivation can be I persuaded to go sans pants.

Actually, the fact that you are aware of and have drawn the readers attention to the fact makes it not hypocrisy but something very close to dramatic irony. Likewise the use of notionally insulting terms in a thread about respect. Literary device, nice work.
