Didn't take long for this to come up with my players!
This is a new level 1 witch/bard spell in the APG that says:
You offer an object to an adjacent creature, and entice it into using or consuming the proffered item. If the target fails its Will save, it immediately takes the offered object, dropping an already held object if necessary. On its next turn, it consumes or dons the object, as appropriate for the item in question.
So as a DM, I'd rule this means if the creature in question is a dual wielding fighter, he would sheath a weapon before taking the item, so it's not making him drop his offhand weapon.
One area of question is, if this is an enemy, will he drink it right then and there, provoking AOOs for drinking a potion? If he uses his move action to move away, its still an AOO. So I think I'd rule that yes, he'll stand in that same square and use the item so this is a way to get AOOs from your whole group if you hand someone a flask of water (placebo potion?)
I suspect this spell will cause a good amount of table talk. Did the low Int bugbear know that flask was an alchemist's fire or did he think it was a cure light wounds? It did have a label on it that said "Curez"...

it says subject immediately takes the object. sheathing takes atleast a move, its a free action to drop an item.
Why change what it specifically says? thats a significant nerf to the spell
I'd make them drop the off hand weapon. Then again I'd also do things like hand the guy with crappy dex and high str a bow so he'd be less useful, and make him drop his greatsword.

that doesnt mean free move/standard action to stow the weapon

It's fairly obvious that this is a way for a witch to offer people poison apples, poisoned combs, etc.
I mean, look at the original version of Snow White: The wicked queen tries three times. The first with corset laces which overtighten and cause SW to faint (and which the dwarves later cut). The second with a hair comb dipped with poison which she recovers from when he comb is removed from her head. Finally, the poisoned apple, which she eats, as would be normal for an apple.
If you hand someone a bottle of alchemist's fire, the logical thing to do is not to drink it but to throw it at someone--maybe even the witch who gave it to you.

I am not sure I follow your logic here Kevin. The reason being is that you are supposed to be enticed to use the item in such a way that you would normally not do so. So if you (As a sane person) had a poison vial, would you be as likely to drink it as you would be to coat your weapon in it?
The spell implies that you suggest to them with the "casting" of the spell what you wish them to do with the item.
I can see this being a visually hilarious spell however. The middle of a melee, dense with armor clashing and swords swinging. Jumping from table to table etc. You see the town guard clashing with the rogue and you sneak up next to them and hold out a vial. They take it and thank you heartily thank you the generosity as they imbibe a token dose of Drow Poison.
