If I do not have the Two Weapon Wielder talent then what are my penalties for attacking with two melee weapons. Am I allowed to make two attacks as part of a full attack action.

I do have the ambidextrous talent.

I looked at the Two-Weapon Fighting on pg 197 of the core book could clearly make out what this rule and penalties.

Could you combine All Out Assault with Two Weapon Fighting? (Bonus to hit balancing out the negatives of Two-Weapon Fighting).

Item purchases that I would like;

1> A bow (Dark Heresy Core book) or Long bow (Inquisitor's Handbook).

2> Stummers

3> If I can fight Two Weapon and attack with both weapons in a single round then I would want to get a second Mono Sword to go with my first.

4> Some sort of gas mask or air filters.

Pulls out trusty GM Screen.

Fighting with a weapon in each hand is a -20, on the other hand, going all out means a +20, though you cannot dodge or parry. Hence, if you go all out with a weapon in each hand then your WS gets no further penalty or bonus.

EDIT: However, you still need the TALENT to be able to fight with both weapons in each hand. AMBIDEXTROUS only eliminates the penalty associated with making an attack with your secondary hand.

Get the equipment you want though getting a second mono sword will substantially reduce your remaining thrones.

Okay, so I need to reach Nighthawk level before I can get the Two-Weapon Fighting (Melee) Talent. No need for a second mono sword at this time.

That simplifies things.

Composite bow from Inquisitor's Handbook Table 3-1 pg 95 (cost 50 Thrones plus 1 Throne for 20 Arrows)

Micro-Bead (20 thrones)

Stummer (25 thrones)

Filtration Plugs (15 thrones)

Imperial Charm (10 thrones)

Spent 121 thrones of initial 137 thrones leaving 16 thrones in the kitty.

Welcome to the game Marnia. :)

Thanks!

I've sold my staff and quilted vest and bought a flak vest instead, makes sense since I've been in the imperial guard.

Grand total of thrones to spend after two las-pistol magazines and a flak vest: 4

What time zone is everybody in? That way we can predict when people are going to post a little easier. I reside in the GMT+1 area.

Dark Archive

Hehehe am in the Philippines (GMT +8).

UTC -5:00 aka EST or Eastern Standard Time

and I know that Furau is at GMT so I guess we'll just post when we can then. At least this way we'll have a steady stream of posts at all times of the day :-)

I'm (MST) or -7(GMT) but my schedule is all over so some time I'm up during the day other times up at night.

From what I've seen of posting times in this thread, I do think we'll have a pretty steady stream of posts through the day. :)

Acolytes, are you ready?

Standing by!

As ready as I ever will be, Sir!

Dark Archive

Who will be the team leader?

Well, Augustus is a very new clerk for the Imperial Guard and before that he was working on orgainsing food shipments. I wouldn't recomend him to be honest.

Everybody fears the psyker so I'm not sure if that makes it a good idea or a bad idea to make Atella the team leader.
If nobody else wants to be team leader Atella will fill the role to the inquisitors satisfaction... mostly :-)

The choice is now between the Arbitrator and the Assassin, who will it be?

Based on Hand's personality and Fellowship with the Negative from coming from a Feral World and being raised as a Moritat Assassin, I'd think he was not the leader type.

He is Jaded and cold. He might be good for leading a group on a strike as a combat leader but not for general leadership duties. He'd also be pretty harsh when it comes to failure having come from a background where failure was punished with being sacrificed to the God of Murder.

I'd vote for the Arbiter to be in charge as he has a noble background and is likely more officer material.

Still, if you don't mind having someone that is cold and will lop off your head if you fail ...

Dark Archive

Ok, the Arbitrator gets the job by default.

All hail the noble team leader!

Works for me and I don't have to kill anyone...yet.

So, are you starting some threads in the PbP Discussion and PbP play?

Hail to the noble! And aye, I'm looking forward to getting stuck in. :)

This is what happens when you don't pay attention.

I Think I'm ready. I changed out the shotgun and ammo for a las pistol and 3 clips.

What's the plan for our startup? :)

We're with the Ordo Xenos; so, I'm betting on either a baby hunt or a bug hunt.

Baby hunt would be looking for some alien child that parents have 'adopted'. It might even have grown up by the time we get involved.

Bug hunt would be looking for a biological that has passed through some sort of quarantine.

"Is this going to be a stand-up fight, sir, or another bug hunt" - Hudson.

Nothing good ever follows a statment like that.

Allow me to compose a flavor text, we should be good to go after I get back to the house.

Sounds good.

Neat. :)

I'm soo looking forward to get this started! Anxiousness overload!
