WOOT WOOT!
d20pfsrd.com has been nominated for an Ennie for Best Website!
See the proof --> here! <--
What great news for my first ever GenCon! I get to go AND be up for a possible Ennie! Well, not me specifically, but the site, and everyone who has helped work on it. I hope people don't mind but I'm going to include the names of those who have helped make the site what it is today here now!
I wanted to take some time to acknowledge everyone else who is involved in the site because if this were just me, the site would NOT be nominated, and that's for sure.
I thought I'd everyone who has signed on as a collaborator, and then mention a few folks for special attention. Those that get special attention do not necessarily outshine the labors of the rest but I wanted to share some extra information about them in particular. There are so many collaborators and in some cases the contact info/user id is vague, so I may not always remember specifically who is who, or what someone specifically worked on, but their efforts are appreciated regardless.
Let the Credits Roll!
These folks are signed on as collaborators of the site. That means they either asked to help work on the site, or I asked them and they accepted. Not everyone has done a ton of work, but some have. It's too hard to break out who has done exactly how much but each of these folks should be applauded for volunteering their time and energy to making the site better:

Key Collaborators
The following folks stand out from the crowd a bit, in that they have either contributed a very large amount of content or effort, or because the contribution they provided was particularly helpful in some way:
Richard progressed really far in RPG Superstar 2010 and continues to add great, useful content to the site. He's one of the nicest guys you can know, even if a bit shy! Check out his blog here!
ben.stern@..., Ben S.:
Since Ben didn't/doesn't use Greasemonkey, he took the existing GM scripts and converted them into Bookmarklets. With bookmarklets you don't need to run GM and they work in virtually any broswer. Great work Ben!
burt@..., gbonehead & sanwah68@..., Sandy:
Burt and Sandy took on the daunting challenge of indexing virtually every single magic item, spell, feat, trait, class, monster, and whatever else you can dream up, in the Consolidated Lists part of the site. They have made extensive use of embedded Google Spreadsheets to do this and we are reusing their info in various places throughout the site.
barefootcoder@..., barefootcoder:
Xotli as he is known on the site has done a ton of neat Google Spreadsheets tricks allowing us to reduce our workload by reusing content from one spreadsheet in another by referencing the different spreadsheets from within themselves. Great stuff!
brreitz@..., Blake R.:
Blake is doing tons of AP conversions and never seems to get tired of doing it. If you are using or might use a pre-PFRPG Adventure Path, and want to avoid having to do the conversions yourself, be sure to thank this guy!
childs.matt@..., Matt C.:
Matt basically dug into the Google Sites code used for doing imports and exports, found a bug, reported it to Google, fixed the bug, then helped us develop the process for running automated imports/exports for backups of the site. Great work Matt (if you're still out there!)
chopswil@.... Mike:
Mike compiles a separate database of basically all of the major segments of the site (traits, feats, spells, monsters, etc) and then creates Google Spreadsheets with the data. Virtually all of the online DB's we have are compliments of his efforts. If you use and appreciate those DB's, be sure to thank him!
contact@..., Nate Petersen:
Nate is the owner of Neo Productions Unlimited, and the store "Backstage Hobbies & Games" in Ludington MI. Nate took on the challenge of managing our OGL/CUP compliance. Early on we were not as compliant as I wanted us to be (and which led to some amount of controversy ugh) so he offered to help serve as our resident compliance cop. He helped me/others understand what was required then helped us organize our thoughts about how best to accomplish that, as well as helped us actually do it. He also happens to be relatively local to me (only a few hours away) and I had a chance to visit him at his store (he runs a hobby store, how cool is that?) and meet him in person. If anyone ever happens to be in Ludington MI, stop into his store. It's very easy to find as its a few doors up from the tattoo shop (where I got my first tattoo this last Memorial Day weekend!)
magnir@..., Chuck Wright:
Chuck is da man even if he has been slacking lately! Well he has good reason to be cutting back on his work on the site as he now has a full time gig with Frog God Games doing layout (and possibly some other stuff) on several products. Chuck has practically single-handedly done ALL of the conversion work for all of the Tome of Horrors monsters. His conversions are rock solid and he really loves the game. Another great dude, even if a bit odd at times ;) Anyway, you should do yourself a favor and head over to Frog God Games and see what's up! Oh, also, Chuck created all of the "source stamps" as we call them. Those are the images on the various pages that say "Fan Content" or "Paizo Core" etc.
rixius@..., Rixius:
The greasy rat bastard! Well by greasy I mean, he developed some really handy Greasemonkey scripts the collaborators use when working on the site to get around some technical hurdles. Great stuff (and I think he got a job as a direct result of his programming work on the site!)
shadowchemosh@..., Tim S.:
The Unofficial Pathfinder FAQ is 99.9% compliments of Tim. In the dark days before Paizo had a FAQ (like... now lol) Tim went way out of his way to lurk on the Paizo boards watching for what looked like "rulings" and FAQ responses from the officual Paizo folks. He compiles all of it in the FAQ, formats it nicely, and provides links back to the original source. Tim goes way out of his way on this and everyone who has had a question clarified due to his work should thank him. Tim also, by the way, has taken on the management of all of the Hero Lab files. You can see his Hero Lab stuff here.
supremechildofkaos@..., Thom L.:
This guy is out of control doing mass amounts of monster conversions from various sources. If you like monsters you should thank this guy. He has done a TON of conversions.
vertexvortex@..., Gruuuu:
Another super smart programmer/developer who is working on Google Gadgets. We hope to take advantage of embedding custom gadgets in the site for things like in-line dice rollers, improved filter-able spreadsheets, automatically generating pages from spreadsheet data... and this guys actively learning how best to use Google Gadgets and the Google Sites API to make it happen. His stuff is mostly behind the scenes but eventually people will be benefiting from his efforts whether they know it or not.
willtheoriginal@..., William B.:
Known as CTSamuraiX on the collaborator boards, Will has done a ton of updates to the site as well as being continually active on the boards. Will is the 6th most active poster on the boards and his input is always appreciated! Another important note is that Will is one of the more active/diligent fixers of bugs reported on the boards.
High Workload Folks
These guys have, at one time or another, contributed a substantial amount of effort or material to the site:
sowhereaminow@..., Brett C.
maugan22@..., Maugan22
mccaul0@..., McCaul B.
erian.7@..., Eric (the GM)
joe.wells@..., Joe Wells
3rd Party Publishers
These publishers have either contributed content directly, ie, themselves as collaborators on the site, or have asked that I post some of their Open Game Content in order to help support their products. We deeply appreciate all of the support these folks show and the great content they have contributed to the site:
madbrewlabs@..., Michael Brewer @ Mad Brew Labs
mark@..., Mark Chance @ Spes Magna Games
sagawork.studios@..., Andrew Gale @ Sagawork Studios
hyrum@..., R. Hyrum Savage @ Super Genius Games
Personal Friends/Gaming Buddies
These folks are my long time personal friends and who harass me endlessly about issues with the site. Without their constant complaining some of the early issues might still exist. They are:
Denny is my closest (both proximally and personally) friend and longest term gaming buddy. We clash often but I always know I can count on him for anything!
henchmenrus@..., Ken Loupe:
Ken's the constant complainer who hates all of my house rules :) He also HATES the new summoner changes but what does he know? The SUMMONER IS BROKE B*TCH!
jasonferrall@..., Game Master Jay:
Jason's the newest member of the gang and running a Kingmaker campaign. Loving it!
roe0229@..., Roe Weeks:
Roe is my token black friend :) In truth though, who else would volunteer to help you move your mother across 6 states in one weekend with almost no rest involved?
wheelmanforhire@..., Brian Dunn:
Brian moved to Atlanta and helped us prove that you CAN use Skype to game. Its not bad really, though the sound of the a/c in the game area sometimes makes it harder to hear him/hear us.
Rich Edwards:
Rich is Denny's brother and another long-time friend. He helps me see that things often can be too complex for non-nerds as he is a Joe Normal at a game table full of ultra computer nerds. It helps having his perspective on things.
The Original
jans@d20srd.org: Got to thank Jans of course. He gave his blessing to my ripping off his layout which is much appreciated!
I'll be adding some responses in this thread regarding some other things we've got going on and so I don't hog any limelight from the thread announcing that the Pathfinder Wiki is ALSO up for the (grumble/complain) SAME Ennie!

Actually I hate everybody's house rules. Yours tend to make lots of sense, but house rules will always suck. The summoner is not broke!
Most importantly congrats on the nomination. I am fully aware how many hours you put into the site. You and the collaborators at d20pfsrd.com deserve any and all accolades you get.

Great. I discovered some tweaks I didn't know about before and will continue to play around with the various options to see about improving it even further. If you have any specific issues in the future please do report them on the d20pfsrd.com boards (or here if you prefer).

For anyone who as ever irritated by the search quality on the site, I have made a ton of changes and tweaks. From my perspective the search results seem vastly superior. If anyone finds a term that doesn't respond well in the search engine, please let me know.
For those of you who were holding your vote for us in the Ennies due to poor quality search... I hope we've got your vote now! :)
