Eidolon, Trample, enhancement bonuses and weapon effects

Rules Questions

Got this question from a player:

Do enhancement bonus and/or weapon effects apply to Trample? There is no attack roll or CMB check, he just runs over them. The damage is based on size and strength. I think magic feet would apply to a real Overrun, but not to Trample since there's no check?

The eidolon has acid energy damage to natural attacks.

From the wording of trample it sounds like a no. You aren't specifically attacking with the specific natural weapons with those enhancements therefore you wouldn't benefit from the them.

It is like having a magical sword and bodyslamming someone. The sword may touch them but it isn't the primary facilitator of the attack.

By the raw, the trample is an AoE effect, not an attack, so no bonuses to attacks will apply.

That said, I would personally allow....

If you had an amulet of natural armor I would let the damage bonus apply, since it applies to ALL natural weapons. Any other enhancement bonus would be a no.

The energy and magic attacks evolutions effect all natural attacks, so I would let them work as well.
