I thought of buying little tiny Lego sets for everyone in my gaming group. But then I got scared everyone would think it was too immature or stupid or something so I didn't. :(
Awww, that sounds like a cool idea. Don't let your fear stop you, after all you guys all get together to play "make believe". :)

See, there's this chap from Serbia that has taken the title of Ultimate Man and, to keep our cred as being the most-badass group of gamers in the world, I feel we have to nominate him for presidency.
But, we're going to let you run against him and remember, the rules for generating votes are the same as always: hookers & blow are perfectly acceptable bribes.

Cool, I hope that goes well.
When I first moved to VB, I had trouble finding a good job and went to work for a place called Radva as a line press operator through a temp-service. The company makes foam products (coolers, peanuts, etc.) by using steam presses. About three days after I started, someone quit the maintenance crew. When I mentioned my experience, I was immediately switched into maintenance.
As a temp, I had to work for three months before I could be hired full time by the company instead of through the temp agency. I was working A LOT of OT for them. Very little time off. Then after twelve months full-time, with a lot more OT, I would finally be eligible to take vacation hours. But, I got hired at NNSY and started work four days before becoming eligible. So, at that time, I had worked for fifteen straight months (minus four days) with no vacation time and very few weekends off. I was a work vegetable. (Did I mention that I spent the last twelve months working midnights where I was the only maintenance/mold changer and would work entire shifts without the opportunity to speak more than a handful of words to anyone. Combined with my poor sleep adjustment to midnights, I was basically living in solitary confinement for a very long time.
Hurray for NNSY

The Thing from Beyond the Edge wrote:Given the job that you do for a living, how's the security being ramped up since the whole Wikileaks debacle? That is funny. I haven't seen anything that awkward, but I have seen some bad mistakes.
A prime example is people using the reply to all when we fully integrated into the new (not so new now) system, NMCI. It sent the email to everyone in the system. Did I mention that NMCI stands for Navy Marine Corp Internet? Yup, people were sending out emails to about a million people at a time, everyone in the USN and USMC. I really got tired of having my inbox cluttered with emails (not concerning anything related to me) from people in San Diego and everywhere else. It should be noted that such emails were bad to print because they will often have a section listing all the people that received that sending of mail...
That seems to have stoppped a while back so some sort of correction was made.
Nothing new, but some of the stuff may date back months ago to when this first happened.
No thumb drives are allowed within the CIA (controlled industrial area). Cameras (even on cell phones) are not allowed and haven't been allowed for longer than I have worked at NNSY. The same goes for laptops and any device capable of recording electronic data. Every computer has had CD/thumb drive slots disabled. There are also a lot of training classes I take where it is required that cell phones be turned off. I don't mean on silent either.
it would be best if Isaid no more of this. :P
Other stuff...
Our shops boss, the one our super answers to along with a couple other shops, had a Christmas lunch for us in the Cryptography shop yesterday. The shop is inside a giant safe and all cell phones had to be left in a lock box outside the shop. Every year or two we go through training for destroying material in case something happens such as the base being under attack. The shop has giant grinders (high tech variants of wood chippers) capable of grinding up PWAs and such. Cool.

So who wants to spring for bail money for "if" I have to go tell that s%&& for brains dick head next door to turn his frakkin music down one more time?
No posts between then and now?
Is that a good thing, they turned it down, or a bad thing meaning Moorluck is in jail and awaiting our bail money?
:P
I forgot to turn my 0510 alarm pff last night. Normally, I can just hit the button and go back to sleep before too long. But, I fell asleep on the couch last night and I had to get up and run into the bedroom to turn it off this morning. I am up for good.
I'm gonna go run on the icy streets.
Laterz.

Last night's Rise of the Runelord session ended badly for all but one Hero of Sandpoint.
Your brother died last night, but, it looks like Gaithan will be raised from the dead.
Details will follow later in the Runelords Obituary thread, but for now, I must go prepare for my two youngest son's arrival from MN this afternoon.

I did think of that, but I was afraid a triple-puffin would be so superior it would quickly become the top of the foodchain. Also, humanoids would have to make a WILL save with a -8 penalty or just stand there helplessly in awe of its cuteness.
I'm kinda leaning toward puffin-hamster-rhinoceros.

Unless said humanoids were like me, then they would have to make a DC 40 Will save to avoid crushing it under their boot heels.
