One hundred new malevolent monsters to terrorize your Pathfinder Roleplaying Game players! From the horrific leatherbound, to the deadly salt dragon, these creatures will test the mettle of even the bravest heroes. The entries within this tome will give pause to even the most experienced and jaded player.
These are all unique, never-before-seen monsters with beautiful full color illustrations.
The monsters in this book were a true labor of love. Many a character has shed his blood on the fangs and claws located in this tome. Hopefully they will provide you the same dark pleasures they provided us.
This book will be available to purchase from Paizo very soon (as soon as they put it up...could be hours, or maybe a day!)

Just so everyone knows, my computer is in the shop, so I will be slow to post any links, or answer questions..lovely timing. I am most curious about any feedback, to improve my work in the future
I picked it up from DriveThruRPG. Biggest comment is that it really needs bookmarks. It's harder to flip through a PDF to find things than a physical book. With a huge number of monsters it's not so easy to find things quickly as the PDF stands.
Otherwise it looks good to my admittedly brief overview. I like the way it ties back to the Remarkable Races backgrounds too.

The original _does_ have bookmarks... RPGnow did something to it that made it loose those bookmarks...I will look into it and post the updated version (which you can download as a replacement for free).
Thanks!
EDIT: The bookmark issue has been resolved. Simply re-download the file, and the bookmarks will be there. This was an issue isolated to RPGnow's copy. Paizo's copy still has it's bookmarks. I will double check this in the future so this doesn't happen again.

Many thanks for the fix. That makes it much easier to find things in.

..Wow..my conjuration mojo is getting stronger...
While I do live in utter fear of you, I was wondering what offerings it would require for your sage review. I have come to respect your insight greatly, actually...Now to work on conjuration a few Playboy bunnies...

I'd also be interested in this book, so let me ask here once again:
What to expect from the book?
Are there horror-themed critters inside?
Ties to remarkable races have been mentioned and while I can see how that is cool, I like my fantasy human-centric and don't have any of the races, nor know if I'd like them.
What CRs do we get? Templates? New Lycanthropes or vampires?
Cthulhuesque critters?
Being "a labor of love" unfortunately does not influence my decision on whether to buy or not...
Greetings,
Endzeitgeist

What to expect from the book?
1. 100 unique,never-before-seen monsters with full descriptions and statistics. These monsters range from B-movie style creatures to Lovecraftian to simply grotesque. A few are just bizarre; designed to bewilder PCs. A couple of "good guys" are also included, to strike terror in evil-doers or keeping an unruly party from crossing over to the darkside. I like to think of it as the Pathfinder version of the 1st Edition Fiend Folio, with MUCH better art and more realistic creatures.
2. All original full-color art depicting every monster by our talented team of artists. And a few bonus illustrations sprinkled about the appendices.3. A hyperlinked index, table of contents, creature glyph key (much like pathfinder's monster symbols), and full appendices detailing Remarkable Races, and monsters by CR, Role, Terrain, Climate, and Type.
4. A smattering of magic items, mount guidelines, and equipment.
Are there horror-themed critters inside?
Yes! Most creatures in this book would thrive in a horror setting. This book caters to many facets of fear. My favorite is the brain wasps...the picture still gives me chills. Fear is subjective, and the author took that into consideration delivering a wide range of threats.
Ties to remarkable races have been mentioned and while I can see how that is cool, I like my fantasy human-centric and don't have any of the races, nor know if I'd like them.
One of the appendices explains the Remarkable Races. The Remarkable Races compendium also includes a Bestiary full of about 3 dozen friends and foes, as well as magic items and equipment. Even in a human-centric game, the Remarkable Races compendium can be a good source of new material and interesting NPCs.
What CRs do we get? Templates? New Lycanthropes or vampires?
Cthulhuesque critters?
CRs range from 1/3 to 20, with the majority falling in the 2-9 range. There are a couple of templates. No new Lycanthropes (but there are a couple of shape-shifters). No new vampires (but many vampire-like creatures). There are lots of Cthulhuesque critters.
Thank you for your interest!

I have not played too much with templates..I think the folks at Rite publishing has that wrapped up better than I could. I do like the idea of working on some new were beasts though..maybe something too add to my to do list.
When I design a monster I go with a broad concept, and run with it. A lot of my critters can be "horror" if placed in the right setting, as well as being solid fantasy fodder. I have read and watched horror for as long as I can remember, and combine that with a solid zoology background. I like my monsters to make SOME kind of sense.Dark Mistress..Kinky is my OTHER writing job ;-)
If any one has any specific questions about a monster, feel free to ask. I "should" have my computer back in the next day or so, so my answers will come a lot faster...

I do like classic horror style monsters. Halloween is my favorite holiday. Plus monsters from old tales like the original Grimms tales and stuff.
Some of the monsters in here are taken from native american legend..a lot of the newest ones I am working on are from legends from around the world.
