Lightning Stance

Rules Questions

Just a clarification if anyone can help.

Does the 50% concealment granted by Lightning Stance go into effect at the beginning of your turn as you start your move or only after you have used two move actions to move.

With the withdraw action you state you are taking that action at the beginning of your turn so as stated the 50% concealment goes into effect when you announce that action.

But with movement you could take one move action and then be prevented from taking the second due to an AoO and therefore not meet the requirements for the feat to activate.

I hope I stated that in an understandable fashion.

You only gain this once the required movement has been met, not during this movement.

That's were it gets hazy for me.

If I take the Withdraw action. I have taken that action the moment I move on square. Taking the Withdraw action meets the requirements for the application of the 50% concealment once one square is moved. It does not stipulate that once you have complete the withdraw action or in any round after you perform a withdraw action.

If a feat read "when ever you take the Full Attack action....." I would assume that the effects of that feat apply to that full attack action you are currently taking. As most feats that use that wording do apply to that action.

So the feat applies the moment you take the Withdraw action regardless of how far you move.

But the stipulation of taking two move actions would seem to mean it would not apply until you moved atleast one square of the second move action. Just kind of odd to implement that way.

Lightning Stance:

Spoiler:
Lightning Stance (Combat)

The speed at which you move makes it nearly impossible for opponents to strike you.

Prerequisites: Dex 17, Dodge, Wind Stance, base attack bonus +11.

Benefit: If you take two actions to move or a withdraw action in a turn, you gain 50% concealment for 1 round.

Manyshot

Spoiler:
Manyshot (Combat)

You can fire multiple arrows at a single target.

Prerequisites: Dex 17, Point-Blank Shot, Rapid Shot, base attack bonus +6.

Benefit: When making a full-attack action with a bow, your first attack fires two arrows. If the attack hits, both arrows hit. Apply precision-based damage (such as sneak attack) and critical hit damage only once for this attack. Damage bonuses from using a composite bow with a high Strength bonus apply to each arrow, as do other damage bonuses, such as a ranger's favored enemy bonus. Damage reduction and resistances apply separately to each arrow.

From the RAW it appears that it would take effect after the action is completed. However, since it has a duration of 1 round I think if you used it every round the effect would be continuous.

Okay, that works. Basically as soon as you withdraw, id say the miss chance kicks in. And in the double move, it only kicks in as soon as the double move starts (so entering the 1st square of that second move action.
