Witch Spells and Hexes

Advice

I'm making a level 5 witch atm and am looking for some advice as to what hexes and spells I should pick up, thanks in advance.

Also feats, gear, and maybe even trait suggestions would be helpful.

I've found evil eye, ward, and the healing hexes to be nice. Cackle is nice as well, and I would probably wait on fortune or misfortune myself -- but I would take them.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

To me, at lower levels misfortune way outweighs evil eye if you have cackle. So my 3 would be cackle, misfortune, and slumber.

As for feats, I would say toughness, great fortitude, and improved great fort. If human I would also get extra traits.

With traits, I would go for any and all of the save boosting traits.

Spells with the witch are purely at your discretion. With them dipping in arcane and divine you have lots of options.

As far as gear, get scrolls to put into your familiar. Every dime on scrolls for the familiar, or to keep some backups. Remember, you don't have the wizard drawback of paying to scribe scrolls into your book. Load that beastie up.

Wow, I guess I have a totally different take :)

Hexes: Flight and Slumber, the others are up to you ( I took Cauldron and Tongues)

Feats: Imp Init, Def Combat Training, Combat Casting,

Spells: I went for area control and team buff, vice direct damage. Raven familiar means I can fly and stay invisible, which makes for a nice scout/air support.
