thats still up for debate, if you like you can post a suggestion of where in Andoran you'd like to play
(small note, this has nothing to do with king maker AP)
Okay. I just played one that took place in the Verduran Forest. How about a mountain setting? I just took a quick look at my campaign guide and I see a couple of ranges. In the north are the Five Kings Mountains. Just a thought... :)
I would like to play a witch in this one. I'll post a concept here later today if I can.
| Brother Dumpling |
Human Monk
One day a call for help came from the village down the mountain, and Ling was one of the few sent to see what aid was needed. Apparently some bandits had thougt to terrorize the village, so Ling and his brothers went to send them on their way.
The battle was brief, the bandits not prepared for the unarmed wave of destruction that went through them. They rescued the sotlen goods and villagers. Ling was chosen as the brother to stay for the season to ensure this type of activity was not had again.
It was here that he found enlightenment. Not in the perfect pursuit of mind and body, but in the physical sensation of food. He was voracious in his hungers, eating everything he could find, and then learning to prepare dishes on his own. By the time the next season came Ling was... well he was just fat. The townspeople had started calling him Brother Dumpling, and Ling realizing the name was said in fondness never corrected them.
He went back up the mountain, to the plain rice diet that his brothers survived. He hated it. The masters of the order, including the Grandmaster of the Planes, sat Ling down. "The food we have here is just to nourish our bodies plainly to keep us on the path to inner peace and tranquility."
Ling politely responded, "Inner peace and tranquility is what comes after a satisfying meal." They put him thorugh rigorous trainings and discovered Ling was just as skilled as any other monk of his rank, maybe even a little more so.
They were dumbfounded, no one had ever changed their methods as he had. Ling needed his own path, they decided, and sent him off into the world. After his many travels he has ended up here. Looking for his next meal...

This is my 1st level Alchemist, he is currently in another game, however the game hasn't moved forward very much since I joined, so I wouldn't mind creating a 6th level character based on the same background (different name obviously) and getting into a game that posts daily weekdays..and a bit over the weekend.
The reason he would join this band of jolly adventurers is because the local military are fed up with him trying to sell/use his new concoctions in a military operations and suggested he try out his materials of this exciting expedition and if he can prove his stuff works, maybe they will take another look at his explosive materials.

Human Fighter
An Andoran freedom fighter, Markus Freeman, is your standard rank and file soldier. He's been stationed on the western Cheliax border to defend against raids by the tyrant nation and has served as an Honor Guard in Almas. Having several seasons of soldiering under his belt ranging from the Five Kings Mountains to the north to the southern coast, he knows the land decently well. Relieved from duty for a season to tend to personal affairs, he meets the band of adventurers...
| Brother Widfen |
Still room? Here's my concept:
A halfling cleric, probably of Old Deadeye or Cayden. He's rather plump and jolly, but is a lot smarter than most give him credit for. He rarely takes things seriously, always preferring to laugh insults--and painful wounds--off, but when confronted with true evil or great tragedy his façade immediately vanishes.
His domains would, obviously, be Community and something else.
EDIT: And here's the alias.

Erevin "Holyarrow"
Elven Ranger 1 Paladin 5
If the adventure involves going after anything evil or malicious, it will be very easy to motivate Erevin into action on behalf of his people and the inhabitants of the forest.

I wiiiiiiiiiin!
*Splat*But in all seriousness, what sources are available to choose from for traits?
This site has just about every trait....and other cool stuff too.
Thanks.
And of course I'll keep it close to my concept. The point of traits is a motivation for a backstory, not little boosts.

So here's my character concept:
After his training was completed, Grent was put into a unit dedicated to covert liberation missions behind enemy lines. The unit's frequent movement meant that trips to shrines and temples were few and far between, and Grent found a natural place in the unit providing religious rites for his fellow soldiers. Due to the varied religions of his companions, Grent never followed one deity, but instead preached to the values of universal freedom and protection of the weak. Grent has recently retired from the military, but his wanderlust, devotion, and love of adventure has him searching for a new excursion to join.
I'm planning on having him be a non-deified cleric of freedom and protection, and a two-weapon fighting ranger, taking ranks in Liberator (Second Darkness Player's Guide) next level. Question - I know Second Darkness was 3.5, so what errata should I take into account for using the prestige class?

Can we use any trait from this link? I found a cool regional trait for Bellis (where my character is from) that relates to his backstory. It is called Bellis Honey Harvester. Here is the description.
Bellis Honey Harvester (Andoran - Bellis)P
Source Andoran: Spirit of Liberty 18
Your frequent exposure to bees - and their stings - makes all such creatures seem more like nuisances than actual threats. You gain DR 3/- against damage dealt by swarms and a +1 trait bonus on saving throws against distraction and poison from swarms.

What I have so far. I still need to fix the skills block and enter them, as well as make a place for CMB/CMD.

Not sure what starting gold we would have and if I can buy potions I can make at half price? Other than that the guys almost ready, obviously after you've had a look.
And any extra spells from previous excursions, or just the min no of spells in the book? And can I buy poisons cheaper as I can make poisons too, I are say at half street price, can't remember what it says in the book.
