I don't really understand how alchemists work. At first level do they get to choose any 'spell' from any level 1 list that only effects them? Could they make a potion of magic missile? Or Bless Weapon (which seems more likely)? They don't get any cantrips?
They have a set Formulae list in the PDF, you can learn any of the first level formulae listed. You start at level 1 with 2+Int level 1 formulae and get 2 per level like wizards, and can add any listed there to your formula book as wizards do spells into their spellbooks. Offhand i dont know if they have Magic Missile on their list but if its not there then you cant have it... at least until they may or may not change it in the final publishing.
