Casting Call - Pathfinder Kingmaker, Dark Kingdom PBP!

Gamer Connection

Here are the details:

Looking for 6 people, would prefer folks who are not already in PBP’s that have time to post at least a couple of times per day or more (when personal life doesn't get in the way). If you are a player in a PBP already, that is okay, but preference will be given to those who are not in one yet.

Kingmaker Campaign Arc
20 point buy (Ability score increases will occur more quickly than 1pt every 4 levels)
Core races and classes from Pathfinder
Non-evil alignments
Max HP at first
Max gold at first

2 traits, 1 should be from the Kingmaker player guide, but exceptions will be made if you give me a good enough character concept.

Background info for characters:
Dark Kingdom does not denote an evil campaign, more like just the overall atmosphere. There will be a lot of dark imagery in the campaign.
Characters don’t have to be good aligned but must have some motivation for wanting to further the goals of Restov though it might be for personal gain. Must like to roleplay as well as do combat, there will be plenty of both.
Character backgrounds can be varied, but the theme bringing you together is that Lord Duranos, Swordlord of Restov has chosen you for your certain skills to become part of a group that will be sent to an area known as the “Greenbelt” to bring law and justice. The main thrust of the group initially will be exploration, but you have heard that there will be opportunities to advance your position in life, potentially to a large degree. It is the opportunity, or maybe it is your duty that attracts you to the Swordlord’s invitation.

This will be my first PBP GM experience, but I have GM'd since 1981, Keep on the Borderlands, so I have plenty of overall GM experience.
Would like to complete the party selection by Next Thursday if I get enough interest.

Shadow Lodge

Definitely interested.

I am in 2 other PBP's, and am running another, but I have plenty of time to post each day.

I'll have a character ready later today, most likely an Evoker Wizard or Elemental Sorcerer.

Liberty's Edge

Just curious, is it strictly Pathfinder, or can we use some 3.5 material, provided we can suffciently justify it for the character concept?

I have an interesting character concept for a sorcerer, which I can sort-of pull-off going strictly Pathfinder Core, but could do perfectly with a couple of 3.5 dip-ins at creation.

EDIT: The concept would also work for a paladin or a summoner, and I would be willing (if necessary) to play either if we end up with a glut of interest in sorcerer/wizard types.

EDIT EDIT: This is the concept, if it won't fit your campaign, just let me know.

Spoiler:
The character (ideally a sorcerer) knows very little about his family origins, but he knows he is "not normal"

Aberrant-blooded sorcerer with the following 3.5 dips:

Rather than human, I would like to use the Aventi from Stormwrack.

I would also like to start with the feat, Scavenging Gullet from Lords of Madness. The feat (normally) requires a base feat called aberrant bloodline, which I would request be waived since the character is already an aberrant-blooded sorcerer. If you do not wish to allow the Aventi race, I will be happy to use my bonus human feat to take the pre-requisite feat.

The point of these is to make the character strange and alien (being able to breath water and eat really disgusting things). I would be willing to forgo traits, and take other penalties if you feel this would otherwise be unbalancing to the game.

I'm interested in this - I'm in another pbp at the moment, but have quite a lot of free time per day to post.

As for a character - I'd play either as a sorcerer, bard or fighter (in this order).

Shadow Lodge

I've decided on Fire Elemental Sorcerer.

Two sorcerers, and a Possible Sorcerer or Bard(or fighter)...

Looks like we have the potential for an all-arcane game! It would be interesting to see how that would turn out...

Pathfinder Lost Omens, Rulebook, Starfinder Adventure Path, Starfinder Roleplaying Game Subscriber

I'm in one PbP game, but I'll be able to be active, and I'm highly interested.

I'd be interested in runnning a Ranger 1st, Wizard 2nd, Cleric 3rd

Dark Archive

I would like to throw my hat into the ring.

I'm not in any PBP currently. In fact this would be my first PBP experience. Much like our DM, playing since the 80's, but never in a PBP game. I am available to post multiple times per day.

I'm wide open as for character choice. I have an idea for a paladin character I have been kicking around, but am willing to fill any "need" the party (or DM) might have.

I'll post a character concept later today.

Thank you in advance for your consideration!

Cheers

The Exchange

Sign me up! I am in 2 PBPs right now, but have plenty of time to post more than once/day. I have an itch to play cleric. I'll hammer out the concept as the day go by.

Definitely interested. I'm in one Pbp (my first one ever) which has not yet gotten started. I can post everyday at different times and I'm almost always at the Paizo site when I have a spare second.
Characters ideas:
Arrouse (Human Fighter) - Growing up in Cheliax his one goal in life was to become a Hellknight, joining The Order of the Scourge. But during initiation he fled. An exile from his own nation he is constantly tormented by the things he saw in the depths of Citadel Demain. As of late he has made himself a name as a mercenary recently being employed by Lord Duranos for a number of dangerous tasks.

Awve (Elf Wizard)- The son of a renowned personal tutor he grew up moving from noble to noble; nation to nation as his father was hired by barons and kings to teach their heirs. Always an outsider he never fitted in with the humans his father taught. His only comfort came from the stories his mother told him and now he dreams of becoming an arcane archer like the hero’s he grew up with. Now a grown man he has decided to strike out and attempt to live the life he dreams. His father’s current employer, Lord Duranos, has granted permission for Awve to join an expedition into the Stolen Lands. (This was the character I developed for the other pbp but had to drop due to party make up.)

Dark Archive

i'm pretty well ready... and would like to give a try...

Char ready

I would love to get involved. I'm not in any other PbP's and would be able to post regularly 2+ times a day (aside from crazy life changing events!)

I have a couple of characters but dont think they'd be suitable for this so will knock one up soon and see what you think dark kingdom.

Right now 1st pass looks like we have:
Dragonborn - Sorcerer
Cuch - paladin or a summoner
Badslacker - sorcerer, bard or fighter
TheChozn - Ranger, cleric (we have lots of interest for Sor/Wiz types)
Lord Okoya - Paladin or open
Wilhem - Cleric
Evan - Fighter or Wizard

Looks like we have plenty of Arcane caster interest but I would like to make sure we have a fairly well rounded party so I will probably not be interested in more than 2 arcane caster types.
Not too worried about statted characters right now, just more of your concept and story behind the character. The Kingmaker players guide is a good place to start, Noble houses, different factions, some known facts can help to flesh out a good background as well if you have access to it.

I'd be very interested in giving this another shot, my first game fell apart just after the first encounter when three of the players dropped out. I'm already in a few PbP's and also running a couple, but I can typically post a few times a day.

This is the character that I had in that one, and would quite like to keep, she's a bleachling oracle.

Dragonborn3 here, and this is my Sorcerer. If picked to play, he was chosen for his fire magic. Here's the background.

Background:

Obi's first few years of life were good, and he remembers those happy times fondly. But other memories are stronger, much stronger, and they are etched into his mind forever.

One night he woke up smelling smoke, and ran out of the house like he had been taught and was caught by a pair of Hellknights, who tied his hands and feet quickly then gagged him.

“For crimes against the Church of Asmodeus” the Hellknights announced to the growing crowd drawn by the fire, “Lyle Canicus and his wife have been sentenced to death.” Obi was sent to the slave market and bought by a man a week later.

The man was decent toward Obi while he was learning what to do, but after that, the beatings started. Drop a too-heavy platter of food, bring the wrong book, or take too long to get a fresh quill? Bruises for a week. The collar he had to wear wasn't helping things either, because if the man was feeling particularly cruel, he could make it crackle with electricity. Many times did Obi feel the “lightning collar” paralyze his throat and keep him from breathing...

One day, while gasping for breath from the most recent shocking, Obi felt heat bubbling up inside him. He was to breathless to scream as the heat began burn his insides. He couldn't handle this new pain and blacked out.

He woke up surrounded by the remains of a fire. The parts of the house that hadn't burned down completely were smoking, and soft breezes stirred the ashes into choking clouds of gray. He stood up weakly, then began to stumble, then run. He couldn't feel the collar on his neck anymore, he was free! But his new found euphoria was short lived as he ran past a window as saw his reflection. Were the collar had once rested was now a white ring, sitting there like it was burned into his flesh. He hid for several days after that, unwilling to let others see the mark.

Eventually though, hunger drove him to look for work, and luck brought him to a mage who recognized Obi's potential as an apprentice. The left the next day on a ship bound for Taldor.

Obi doesn't why he can't remember what happened, or even how he got to the “Valley of Fire,” but he does know he likes the family he's staying with in Restov(they even helped him figure out he had magic, fire magic. Imagine, shy little Obi, a sorcerer!), and they understand his inherent shyness now that he's managed to tell them his entire story. He still cringes when he does something wrong, but he's working on it.

If you post a character under a different name than your first post, please follow Obi's lead and let me know. Thx.

DM Dark Kingdom wrote:

Sorry about that... TheChozyn here.

Background:
Durnholm was raised in the region of Southern Brevoy, living a rough life with his father hunting wolves, and other beasts. Their money came from the furs these beasts would bring, or a small amount from a farmer to remove some pest. After his father passed, leaving him his mighty longbow, he has followed in his father's path. After 15 years he has been becoming dissatisfied with the hunting of such simple beasts. He is hoping the untamed lands to the south will offer better sport, and eagerly signed on after selling the last batch of pelts.

He is known as the Wolf due to his whole wolf pelt he wears like a cloak, allowing the smiling face of the wolf to hang off of his head like a living helmet.

Simple background for a simple char. Though I look to build more as he begins to interact with people again.

Liberty's Edge

DMDK,

May I use the two 3.5 rules I mentioned in the spoiler for my character creation? I want to make sure I stat the character correctly for the campaign.

Thanks

I present for your consideration:

Eadric Cuthwulf, LG Paladin

Background:
Eadric was born to a middle class family in the city of Restov. His father was a minor beaurocrat who had high hopes for his only son. From birth, Eadric was taught to respect authority, follow the rules, be compassionate to others and to do what was expected of him. His duty, as his father explainded to young Eadric, was to uphold the family honor and to serve his city and country to the best of his abilities. To this end, Eadric's lifelong goal, encouraged by his father, was to become a soldier in the service of Brevoy. As soon as he was able, he enlisted with a company of soldiers, serving as a squire to a minor noble and knight of the Surtova family.

Eadric took immeadiately to life as a soldier. He reveled in the regimented nature , and the code of conduct, of military life. He also proved an excellant student of the martial arts and excelled in his training. His charming personality and good nature made him a popular member of his company.

For a good many years, Eadric’s life was going exactly as planned. It did not last.

In peace times, Eadric was witness to all that was good about soldiers. However, when a minor civil unrest required the services of Eadric’s company, Eadric was witness to things he could not abide. The deaths of innocents. Soldiers behaving in ways contradictory to thier code. Oaths given and subsequently broken.

The final straw for Eadric was his witnessing the razing of a small fortified outpost on the frontier because the inhabitants refused to pay taxes to some distant noble. Eadric’s company surrounded the fort and demanded it’s unconditional surrender. Upon refusal of the ultimatum, Eadric’s superiors gave the order to burn the fort to the ground, without regard to the presense of women, children and other innocents.

Eadric’s pleas for leniancy and mercy were ignored. When Eadric attempted to intercede, he was soundly beaten, found in deriliction of duty and discharged from his company.

Eadric took what meagre possessions he had and began to wander the frontier, lost in remorse and guilt, while looking for the new meaning and purpose of this life.

Shamed and haunted by his participation in the slaughter of innocents , and unwilling to return home a failure in his father’s eyes, Eadric travelled from place to place. Never staying long, and subsisting mostly on the generosity of others or doing trivial labor in exchange for a meal and a warm place to sleep. It was during this time that Eadric reached a critical moment in his life.

During one of his lately, all too frequently, drinking binges, trying to erase the unwanted memories of recent events, Eadric had a vision. Cayeden Cailean came to him in a vision and spoke (or so Eadric believed), telling Eadric that brave and good men are still needed on the froniers of the world.

Eadric answered the call, became a holy warrior, and has made his way to the Stolen Lands looking to do good, bring justice to those who are oppresed and protect the innocent. He is currently looking for ways in which to advance these goals.

Personality:
Although Eadric is aware that his lawful nature is at odds with that of his diety’s, he sees this as a strength. Two paths, or approaches, to the ultimate goal of good and righteous deeds in service of Brevoy.

Eadric is humble man who does not preach or impose his beliefs on others. He is a man of his word, courageous, respectful of legitimate authority , highly disciplined and honorable in deed.

He remains haunted by his personal history and struggles with his drinking at times, something not helped by his diety’s inclinations, but remains committed to his cause.

His current situation sees him practically destitute, with only the clothes on his back and his sword on his hip. Eadric refuses to return home to his family and risk facing his father.

If one didn’t know better, Eadric seems to be reluctant to change his current lot in life, seeing it as a sort of penance.

Although Eadric is less likely to quickly accept new companions, those that earn his trust and respect can count on Eadric to be a loyal friend and ally.

Traits:
Rostlander and Suspicious

Again, thank you in advance for your consideration! I look forward to (hopefully) participating in this adventure!

Cheers

EDIT: Of course this background could easily be tweaked to fit a multitude of class choices. Fighter, Cleric, Ranger, etc.

And as I stated above, I am willing to give any class a go and could re-submit for another class if needed. (Rogue perhaps?)

Shadow Lodge

I was wondering if Rostlander could be tweaked a bit to fit Obi's background. Not the benefit or anything, just the fluff that goes with it?

Reactionary is his other trait. He learned to be quick, though it didn't do him much good...

You can mod some of the fluff in the trait, as long as it makes sense :)

I would like to keep with the core classes as per my original post, if you have a similar background concept, but with a core class I would be more inclined to consider. I haven't looked at the Beta Advanced player guide classes and until they officially release it, I am not too enthused about test classes. Just my 2 cents...

Not a big fan of the Alien idea. Would like to stick with Core classes and races. Please feel free to play with the background for something unusual or personality, but I would probably have to see more of his background to understand the flavor you are going for.

Good amount of interest around, probably make some initial choices tomorrow late.
Thanks for the entries so far, I appreciate the effort. Looking forward to kicking this off as soon as we have a good group. Definitely need to pick up at least one solid cleric.

I would obviously be fine with switching my choice to cleric if that is what is needed.

Fair enough, I guess the next rational class for that concept is... a sorcerer! :P

But given the increased natural affinity that goes along with becoming a bleachling, Druid would work pretty well too. I've included the modifiers for being middle-aged in the stats, since that's when the bleaching first starts to kick in, is that okay or would you rather it was assumed that the stats gained by the point-buy are pre-modified by age?

If you are going with any age affects, apply the age modifyers after you stat (point buy) the character. Just remember this campaig will occur over years, possibly many so additional age affects might occur.

Hey Dark Kingdom, Allan_treebeard here hope im not too late to enrol!

This is Bellis Haevic, halfling cleric of erastil ready for action! (Backstory coming shortly) and still not in any pbp's to date.

Thanks for the feedback, I was going for a "Ripley-from-Alien Ressurection-meets-Shadows of Innsmouth" Cthulhu-esque kind of character. I understand if that doesn't work for the campaign.

Dark Archive

i'm a rogue and am not currently involded in a pbp.... i'm set up for running in a society even so all i'd need is a little tweaking. I'd us the bastards trait instead of lost nobility....

Hey Bellis' background is up.

Background:
I never knew slavery...but my father did

All my life I have been proud to call the kingdom of Brevoy my home. This is a land where rolling hills and lush green plains co-mingle with the buzz of civilisation. Where the laws of the land are not only just but always work towards the greater good. And most importantly, where the act slavery is abhored for the crime that it is

As I said, I never knew slavery, but my father did. He was born in the land of Cheliax. A vile disgusting nation where people are bought and sold as goods and despicable acts are openly commited in name of evil gods. My father would always tell me stories of this land, the scars he still wore and the trials he had to overcome to escape and get here, to Brevoy, the "land of the free" as he used to call it

Father was never just happy with his own freedom though and was one of the first to form the halfling liberation league. He lead dozens of "liberation squads" in and out of Cheliax and other nations in search of enslaved halflings. Hundreds of halflings owe their freedoms to him, including my mother. It was her that taught me the ways of ol'deadeye, the value of family and community and the power to channel the land to help others.

Yesterday...father died. Age and his body finally caught up to him. The funeral would have done him proud, almost every halfling in Restov turned up to say goodbye. This morning, the swordlords announced the taming of the southern lands calling on adventurers from all walks of life to forge their own kingdoms. Some may see this as coincidence, but I see Erastil's hand in this. I have said goodbye to my family and now only destiny awaits

I will forge a land worthy of my father's name! One where halflings will always be free and will never have to live with the memory the ghost of slavery! One where Brevoy is admired for the proud land it is. Erastil's sight guide my hand!

Personality:

Fiercly Patriotic to Brevoy sometimes to the point of naivity.
Does'nt like to distinguish between rostland and issia, would prefer the conflicts between the two to stop.
Hates the nation of cheliax and is especially distrustful of anyone with ties to it.
Very family oriented.
Always eager to help others.
Loves animals and children.

I was looking through the Pathfinder Character Traits pdf, and noticed the Resilient trait does the same as Rostlander. That would give Obi two traits that aren't campaign traits though...

I am not stuck on the traits as long as you have some background elements that tie you into the campign. We can flush them out more after we get the final group together.

Cuchulainn's character submission. I scrapped the old idea and went back to the drawing board. I went with a straight fighter, since we had so many arcane types.

Ok, these are both my character offers. I've made a Wizard and a Barbarian, and would play any of them.

Ellaria, Wizard

Spoiler:

Ellaria is about 165cm tall, and weighs about 60kg. Her eyes are dark, hair is dark brown and skin is quite tanned. As she was born to noble parents, her clothes are usually of high quality, and she has a couple that were made especially for her. She places her spellbook and other basic adventuring gear in her backpack, leaving her hands free for whatever she'd like. More of a scholar than a fighter, she carries a diary in which she writes notes about the interesting things she encounters during her travels.

Ellaria seems to be aloof, thinking about loftier ideals, theories and goals instead of focusing on the mundane world. Although she sees herself as a scholar, she believes (mainly because of her education) that the world must be experienced as well as being studied from a lab. She's quite naive, friendly and looks at the world as a bright, nice place. She wasn't exposed to poverty, crime or other darker realities of the world, so whenever she encounters them she tries to set things right. She feels that other races such as goblins, gnolls and even orcs all have their ways and should be judged specifically, with no prejudice. Other than that she has a sense of humor, which doesn't seem to be appreciated by others.

Ellaria was born to a rich, noble family, living a few miles out of Absalom. Her first name was given to her by her parents to honor a human cleric which saved her father's life while sacrificing her own. Most of Ellaria's early years were ones of rich, spoiled children. Although she could have had anything she asked for, from the day she started learning to read she always asked for books, especially fairy-tale books, which she loved best. As time passed, she developed a keen interest in magic, which her parents did their best to foster. Ellaria received the best tutoring in the area, learning for whole days at her parents' estate. Although learning, experimenting and magic delighted her, it wasn't enough to hold her attention for long, and an urge for exploration rose up in her. Leaving home wasn't easy for her, and up till now she's still looking for the employment she's heard of with no success.

Dra'kar'ael Glendrannah, Barbarian

Spoiler:
Dra'kar'ael stands about 6'7 feet tall, with a muscular build. His skin is pale white, and his hair is blond. He was born in a small, distant village after his mother, a farmer, was seduced and impregnated by a barbarian raider. Although she raised him for a few years with her family, Dra'kar'ael's father's tribe wandered back in the area when he was about 9 years old. His father, who discovered he had a son, offered money to his mother, who refused. A few days later, Dra'kar'ael was kidnapped in the middle of the night by his father and his barbarian friends. For the next dozen years or so Dra'kar'ael roamed with the barbarian tribe, learning to become one of them. During this period, he received his adult name, Dra'kar'ael, which means Roaring-Ice-Bear (the name was chosen for him after he took part in a dangerous bear hunt as a young man).

Before he can pick himself a wife, Dra'kar'ael's tribe's custom is that he must prove his worth in the world, by himself. As such, he left his tribe and tried to search for his mother in her village. Upon arriving there, he discovered that she died a few years earlier, but had a younger brother, Darion, somewhere in Restov. He decided to find Darion, as the only person living that could tell him more about his mother. Arriving at Restov a few weeks ago, he managed to find Darion but discovered that he was a gambler, and not one of the best of them. Dra'kar'ael, as an outsider to cities and more "civilized" society, gave Darion all of his money to cover his debts, but Darion took the money and disappeared, without paying his debts. As rumors say outlaws and other miscreants reside near the "Greenbelt", it seems obvious to Dra'kar'ael to join an expedition to there.

Dra'kar'ael is quite naive and optimistic. He's cheerful and doesn't always understand everything that's going on. When speaking, he often sounds foreign and sometimes makes mistakes with words and grammar in common. Combat however is where he truly shines. He uses both a greatsword and a longspear, hurling himself into battle with rarely seen bloodlust. He usually manages to fell creatures much tougher than himself, and shows no fear when doing so. However, he is quite rash and sometimes drives into battle without estimating the odds against him, which more than once left him unconscious and robbed.

Some of you have great entries, but I really want to give some folks who haven't really had a chance to PBP the first shot so if I passed on your character, it was probably to let those folks have a shot.

In so far:

Eadric Cuthwulf, LG Paladin
Bellis Haevic, Cleric
Moulini Tankard, Rogue
Ellaria, Wizard
Durn the wolf, Ranger

Will fill the final slot later today or tomorrow. Thanks for the interest! Just another reason to appreciate Paizo and what it does for the gaming world.

Creating a Post discussion named "Kingmaker - Dark Kingdom". See the 5 of you over there.

Okay, I've updated the character to a Druid.

DM:
The prophecy contained within the letter is one that has the potential to refer to the Kingmaker campaign, not many of the details had been established by the time my previous game ended so it could go any way you wanted. The letter is from Lady Arodeth of the Harbingers, who claimed that by causing the prophecy to come to fruition, Aroden might be restored.

I'd be really interested in playing - I haven't done a PBP before, but I'll be able to post a couple times a day.

Character idea:
Willas Fenborn, Bard

Willas was a child of the River Kingdoms, never remembering who his parents were. The lawless lands were his home, and his companions were the rough-and-tumble thieves and brigands of the area. He was never the quickest blade or the strongest arm, but his earliest memories were of speaking to rapt companions around a campfire, spinning stories out of thin air to drive away the cold and hunger of a bandit's life. His gift for words ensured that there was always a group of bandits happy to take him on an expedition or an ambush - he could at the very least defend himself, and his tales were worth at least a half-share of the profits.

As he grew older, the life of traveling from inn to inn, living by the coppers in his pocket, grew less and less appealing. He traveled into Brevoy, hoping to earn enough in the larger city to live less a life of banditry and con games and more of a living as a legitimate performer. However, his restless nature soon had the better of him, and he instead began being a nomad within the city of Restov, slipping from one slum to the next as the law attempted to catch up with him. Finally, when the pressure of the local constables grew too much for him, he took off to the Stolen Lands, seeking his fortune and maybe even his redemption.

P.s. - character inspired by the Brigand and Poverty-Stricken traits.

Man, this game filled up quickly, didn't it?

I fear that I may be too late, but I'm not playing anything else currently, and have been wanting to play a Kingmaker game for quite some time now. So I'll just drop my app, and hope for the best.

Faeron Ealomin, Elf Fighter:
Faeron Ealomin is an Elvish Fighter. He was born and raised in the city of Restov. But although Restov contains the largest elven population in the region, Faeron never felt comfortable enough in Restov to call it "home." Instead, Faeron gorged himself on the stories his elder's passed down to him about the lost elven civilization located within the deep recesses of the Stolen Land. Now Faeron wishes nothing more that to learn about what happened to the elves of past. However, the Stolen Lands is a dangerous region, and not even the brash, young Faeron is wreckless enough to venture forth by himself. So, he has decided to take advantage of the frantic cultivation of the Stolen Lands, throwing himself in with a ragtag group of companions in hopes of discovering the secrets that have been lost.

Faeron is fiercly loyal to his friends, but is slow to trust. He also has no problems speaking his mind, and his blunt attitude has gotten him into trouble on more than one occasion.

Faeron has long brown hair that falls barely past his shoulders with just the slightest hint of a wave. He is a lean 5'8, 130 pounds and blue eyes. His face, which still shows off his elvish youth, is marred by a large scar which streaks across his left cheekbone.

Traits:
Pioneer (climb focus)
Scholar of the Great Beyond (history focus)

OK last spot is still open. Really looking for a male PC due to the fact we already have 3 female PC's, wierd huh?
Class could be open, but the general link is as a disgraced nephew of Lord Duranos. The why, how, ect is up to you, but due to some forward plot stuff I would like to have at least one person in the party linked to him as family, even if it is extended.
Best link-in gets the last spot.
Thanks! DM DarkK.

you mean me?

Alright, I made a new character with all of that in mind.

Here is a male, human fighter, and he is the nephew of Lord Duranos.

Vanion Bracke:
Vanion Bracke is the eldest son of Lord Duranos's younger sister. Growing up, Vanion was a pampered lad with a doting mother and access to famed instructors of both the military and courtly arts. However, when he grew older, Vanion found himself without much responsibility and lots of free time on his hands. He developed into a capricious youth and eventually devoted his time to, as he would call it, "patriotism." However, most others simply called it "troublemaking."

Vanion spent all of his spare time participating in demonstrations and protests, championing causes ranging from the insignificant to the ridiculous (ahhh, the glorious apple-juice rebellion). This went on for quite some time, and Vanion was largely ignored by his Uncle and other preeminent nobles, but that changed on one fateful night. While in the middle of a dispute with a local noble, Vanion was caught setting fire to the noble's granary. Luckily the fire was discovered and put out before too much damage was done, but Vanion had resisted when the guards tried to detain him. He wound up with a gash across his cheek and a crack on his head for his troubles. The rumors spread quickly, and many people called for a severe punishment to put an end to all the mischief. A few (such as the owner of the granary) labeled Vanion's actions as outright treason.

When Vanion awoke, he found himself in a small cell, alone with his Uncle, the Lord Duranos. Lord Duranos spoke to the youth sharply, and told Vanion what was in store for him. He was to ship out in two weeks time to join those who would reclaim the Stolen Lands. This way, Lord Duranos reasoned, Vanion could put his zeal towards something that would actually benefit this country. And if he was lucky enough to survive, the undertaking should forge Vanion into a sensible and reliable young man.

Um... unless he's a halfling, looks like I need to be staying with Lord Duranoe then.

Hm....

Also, is this a Google Wave Game? I tried one before, and it didn't work out for me. If this is a Wave game, I'll bow out so some one else can play.

No but I do use google sites for the group site. Use that to upload some maps and campaign details, but the posting will stay on the Paizo site.
