The party members collect themselves for a couple of minutes. The stench of death hangs in the air, most notably from the corpses littering the street. Maggots and a cloaker lay where they were struck down, and a single human corpse is still where it was when you arrived, though a bit messier for having been hollowed out by maggots. The moans seem to come from all around now, though no movement is visible. And they still seem strongest from the center of town.

Danea leads the way, the dimmed light from her sword cutting the fog. Sounds from behind, like something shuffling along the cobblestones, and then the creaking of an unsecured shuttered, cause Izera to stop and listen, and then be forced to catch back up before she loses sight of the party in the mist.
Rough barricades block most of the access to the town square, however, the eastern barricade has been breached, and zombies have already swarmed through the opening. A woman in plate armor near the center of the town square valiantly fights the zombies, but she is heavily outnumbered.
