Minotaurs and scent

Pathfinder First Edition General Discussion

The Exchange

So, was it a deliberate decision or an oversight to remove the Scent ability from minotaurs in converting from 3.5 to PFRPG? It's no big deal (I can just give it back) but I'm curious why it was done.

I don't think "scent" when I think minotaurs.

Heck, I didn't know they had it in the first place.

it's been there since 2nd edition D&D at least....i'd say it's an oversight. (I certainly includ ethe ability in any campaign I'm running?)

Didn't the Minataur of legend track his victims by scent?

Well, they were certainly supposed to be highly perceptive, and scent is a very handy ability in that regard.
