do i add the cost of special materials to the price of the armor for crafting purposes. if so, it will take 98 weekes (with taking 10 on a +27 armorsmithing) check to make mithral full plate.

Yes. It takes considerably longer to craft items that are constructed from rare or exotic materials.

And you should probably duck behind a column at this point, or you risk being swept away by the avalanche of complaining posters that is sure to follow.

Such is the time vs difficulty of crafting exotic items which is why they cost so much to buy.

So no ducking from behind a column needed from me :) If it was easy then every PC and his dog would be making their own equipment.

Is there some way i can Bill and ted this thing? Such as maybe pay to be transported to another plane where time runs a little differently, and then maybe come back and have very little time have passed on the prime material? i really wanted this armor ready before we startg this next adventure, and given the time frame of the campaign, i can maybe afford to spend a few months (up to maybe 6), if not i am just going to have to suffer.

My character's dog doesn't make his own equipment, but I do make him carry all the rations....

There is a way to speed things up.

It's called Fabricate

I wasn't so sure on this.

My dwarf has master Craftsman, and is trying to make the armor magical, and fabricate reads you can't create magical items with the spell.

Sovereign Court

Use Fabricate to make the mithril armor, then magic it up as usual. 1 standard action to make the armor, 1 day per 1000 gp to make it magical.

Scarab Sages

Honestly, you just need the masterwork mithril armor, however you get it. If you can buy it from someone else, and then enchant it, it makes things a lot easier.

You can bother your dm about the crafting time, and maybe work something out. But try to avoid cheese like a plane where time runs differently, since that would then become an exploitable hole, and it kind of sucks as dm to say "As you finish crafting your mithril plate, the plane on which you stand begins to destabilize. Get out now, or risk being lost in the void..."

Sure, it's fine if there's a storyline for it, but otherwise it's a waste of good material.

With fabricate, you still have to make the craft check. And since it's a spell, personally I'd say that you have to roll, since you don't have the time to take 10 or 20 on your check.

If you had someone else cast it, they'd have to make the same roll, and they might not have ranks in armorsmithing.

LOL! Sorry I'm not sure if "Every man and his dog" is a British turn of phrase or a general one. It simply means absolutely everyone. If you knew that already then forgive.

PS: I wouldn't trust my dog with my rations, unless I didn't mind eating for the duration ;)

Ahh, but you see, if the dog eats the rations, then you eat the dog. It's the circle of life!

@MagicDealer: Taking 20 can't be done when crafting. Taking 10, OTOH, doesn't require any additional time at all, and should be allowed.
