In AP#9, Escape from Old Korvosa, the sidebar about Rakshasas says...
For Pathfinder, we’ve reclassified the rakshasa’s CR at 8. This is still a bit higher than his offensive abilities would
seem to indicate, but when matched with his incredible
defenses, the challenge works out about right.
Does this theory still hold true for the Raksasha in the Pathfinder Bestiary?

Short answer No.
But if your party knows they are facing Rakshasa then they will probably stock up on Rakshasa killing equipment. Rakshasas are now CR 10 and mean it. Each one is a potential PC killer. I recommend leaving the old Rak-stats.
Well, I'll have to see about that. I will have a Paladin, a Wizard and a Sorcerer in the party, so I think they should be able to deal just fine with Bahor or Vimanda.

I'm about 3 sessions away from this myself.
Oh, I have a long path to go until I get there, we really just started yesterday, with the group just having had their first meeting with the queen. But I have experienced players and the group make-up ( Paladin, Wizard, Sorcerer, Rogue, Inquisitor ) should get through the encounter just fine. There is enough time for me to judge if my assertion will hold up. :)
Good luck for your run! :)

I don't think Glorio Arkona is going to tell the PCs to watch out for all of the raksasha on the grounds and all of the raksasha in his personal dungeon...
Wouldn't it be better for him if Neolandus Kalepopolis and the PCs died instead of escaped, anyways?
Nonetheless, I haven't even started, but was curious.

My party just took down Glorio 2 sessions ago.
and brought him back last game, as a Tian woman. (via a mysterious alter that I put in the dungeon... it was supposed to be used for the PC's when they died in a trap I put in but they tested it on Glorio first. It was a total accident and surprised the heck out of me.) If you ask me why they were carry his body around you will have to check the Gaming Journal threads...
Anyway, he went down in 4 rounds and the dice Gods were shining on my players... I have never seen so many 19's and 20's. Barb, fighter, and sorc did all the damage. He almost killed the fighter. It was a good fight, if not a little bit surprising.

I cant figure out how ot post a topic so maybe someone can tell me here..... I am a player and I saw the guide to korvosa and I didnt want to spoil anyting fso I was wondering if it is okay if I read it.... My DM is unavaiable for the next two days otherwise I'd just ask him
David, I suggest you don't read it. However, it is probably best to just be patience and wait the two days to ask you DM.
