Jequine

From my previous post
[/i]"although she is sure she has disabled the trap, she makes sure she holds a metal object in her hand, so she takes a grappling hook from her bag and proceeds forward. The metal is heavy in her hand, she holds it concentrating on the messages her nerves are sending, waiting to feel any temperature increase. She moves forward, beads of sweat across her brow, sweaty palms clutching the grappling hook. She has been found out more than once before, when a disabled trap had burst into life."[/i]
I take it the grappling hook and metal studs (look like sparkly gems in my studded leather armor) did not get hot.
Then Jequine would think the trap fairly safe and not stop Valenos getting across, it they did get hot she would shout warnings and tell him to get back and take the armor off.
Over to you Xaldinarr, you know how it goes, either I get it or Valenos gets it.

The grappling hook quickly gets hot in Jequine's hand, burning her, causing her to take a deep intake of breath. With all her will power, she stops herself from shouting out, and a low groan emits from her lips. The grappling hook falls into the water with a splash and steam rises up from the stream of water running along the tunnel floor.
She quickly returns to the group of interested watchers, plunging her hand into the running water to cool the welts on her hand. "aaah, it works as I thought, but its not a trap I can disable. we shall have to take off our metal objects and take them across by some other method, so we can then cross easily without injury"
Jequine, then proceeds to pull the grappling hook bach from where it dropped with the rope she attached.

So Valanos will not cross yet, as he has seen the ability of the trap.

Jequine, watches as the men remove their armour, but taking a particular interest in Sheridan. Her eyes survey his handsome toned body as her heart quickens slightly. She herself, then moves into the shadows out of the sight of the men to change her clothes. Taking her soft supple leather clothing off and replacing it with a loose fitting dress, which she holds up to keep it from dragging in the water.
Although loose, the outlines of her body are just visible though the pale cotton material, when she returns into sight. She tosses her long hair provocatively over her shoulders, as she passes her armor and metal objects to Sheridan for safe keeping in his bag. "Its very good of you to carry my things across" she says with a silky soft voice. She turns and walks, her hips swinging through the tunnel of copper plates to the other side. Her body reacting to being unrestrained by her armor.

Kurgand glances at the young lady's casual walk and her sly remarks with something of mix of amusement and puzzlement. His eyes take on a glassy tone for moment...lost in thought before he takes on a stern look again.
"Wimen...and their fickle natures..." he mumbles, then adds,"Best keep your eyes sharp on the trap, lads."
He'll work to remove his own armor and helm. If Sheridan has room for the gear, that's fine with him...otherwise he'll place it in a blanket and tie it up to drag it under the water to keep it cool from the heat.
Jequine

Disappearing into the shadows, Jequine reappears dressed in her leather clothing once more.
Once everyone is ready, she turns to the group, and says "I'll be scouting 30ft ahead again, so be ready. I might need some protection. casting a suggestive glance to Sheridan as she requested the protection. She then disappears into the shadows once more, as she moves forward, taking care to look for further traps and other unusual circumstances, which might indicate the presence of another creature.

Hey, been busy. Arranging movement to another residence takes time, and my laptop HDD died, so that made things much simpler.
Valanos slowly removes his armor, leaving the helm on while collecting the other pieces. His body is chiseled and covered in scars, some seem ritualistic while others are from battle. His hair is dark and there appears to be a long scar upon his face, but only the back on his left jaw can be viewed.
Upon bypass of the trap, he places the helm upon his head and replaces his armor, and readying his flail when ready.

Sorry guys, been really weird since I've been on reduced hours
You enter a 30'X30' cube room, with a staircase ascending opposite the door opposite the passage. You still stand knee deep in water, waste deep for Kurgan. As Valanos finishes crossing the trap, and puts his helmet back on, the rest of you in various states of returning your armor, suddenly you realize that the stench in this part of the area isn't from the water, as several ghouls set upon you from an illusory wall adjacent to the trapped passageway.
[Fort save]
Perception DC 15 to avoid surprise.
Everyone without light or non-metal armor is unarmored.

My internet connection will be a bit unreliable for the next few days, so if you end up waiting for me assume my action is for Sheridan to cast enlarge person on Gannertung through the Shared Spells ability, and for Gannertung to use Great Cleave.

Sorry to hear about the employment troubles. Hope it improves.
Question - Kurgand had declared he was also keeping an eye on things, can I use the perception roll in the previous post as well? It was a 23. Otherwise, I'll give 'er another roll.
If I can use the roll, is it acceptable to pull the shield as an action, or would that expose him to an AoO?

Yes,
and I believe that since a shield is a weapon/shield it can readied without an AoO...so yes

Thanks for the update.
Fort Save:1d20 + 7 ⇒ (20) + 7 = 27
Having been a sewer hunter, Kurgand seems to have paid little heed to the sudden stench from the ghouls. But in keeping an eye on Jequine, he spots the slavering undead and pulls his shield to brace for the assault - fretting little for his half-plate under the circumstances.
"Ach...I'd forgotten people will throw any garbage into a dungeon, includn' corpses when it's a problem," he grumbles.
Will pull a weapon when possible, and step in to attack - blocking for the party if possible. AC is currently 16.

I specifically stated that Valanos had emplaced his armor again, so he's at full AC. Didn't see that part of them suddenly attacking, so I'm screwed. My AC is "you hit me easily." or 14
"What are these things, some undead that smell quite foul."
Jequine

Jequine, smelling the stench of death in the air, does what she does best and disappears into the shadows (stealth 23 roll from post above}. She moves to a darkened corner of the room, wary of any more undead that might be lurking, taking her armor she starts to hastily get dressed into her armor. 5 rounds of getting dressed.

Well that sucked royally, waste my good rolls on knowledge checks that don't garner anything. I'm just going to stop using them, they don't seem to apply, anyone else can gain the same information.

I hope the flaming serpent is Gannertung, because for a moment there I was ignoring the ghouls and saying "holy crap, what is that!?"
Otherwise - thanks for the map. :-)
Yah, gannertung was described as a blue dragon like creature witha long neck...so that's what I found LoL...
