The little dot that appears beside threads that I have posted in recently keeps disappearing from several threads that I post in regularly (or occasionally but recently).
Dots will be gone, they come back if I post in a thread, but next time I load the page they are gone again (sometimes – it seems a bit random). The problem has been going on for a few days.
This is happening over a range of threads and forums, but the main problems ones are ‘Aubrey’s Eberron Campaign’ and ‘Aubrey’s Rise of the Runelords Campaign’ in Play By Post.
Any fix for this?

I've been having the exact same problem, specifically with the CoT PbP I'm in.

Same problem here. It seems completely random ... sometimes it's there ... sometimes it's not.

And the same is true for threads in a list. (I'm only saying this in the unlikely case that this helps you track this bug.)
EDIT: And yes, I, too, have noticed it happen mostly with PBPs and PBP Discussion threads.
I remember a thread about this earlier. It was linked to load time for the page -- establishing the dots and number of posts since your last takes extra time and resources. So sometimes they are left off.
My guess is the Superstar competition is generating enough traffic to slow the servers and eclipse the dot features. Or Gary screwed up. Without a mea culpa from Gary I vote for high traffic.
Okay, if losing the dots sometimes means loading the page faster, I can live with losing the dots.
Does the dot loss happen when you a prolific poster? I've been under the impression that only the last X threads you post in retain the dot.
I'm sure that's not the issue. Sometimes ALL the dots disappear, and sometimes SOME of them do.
Oh! Sure! A couple of dots perform poorly on standardize tests and instead of dealing with the Dot Union, you just fire them all. So typical!
