We have been playing 4e since it came out and the group would like a change, my issue is we have an Eladrin Swordmage in the group and I can convert the Swordmage but what about the Eladrin?
Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated!
You're in a bit of a bind.
In 3.5, which Pathfinder is derived from, Eladrin were much more powerful upper-planar beings, not just "High Elves" as they appear to be in DnD 4e. I may be wrong, I've never played it (and harbor no specific resentment).
You can't just take the Pathfinder equivalent of "Eladrin" because they are too powerful. Unless your GM wants to run a looser campaign with lots of monster PCs, you're pretty much going to have to play a regular elf, or an Aasimar. My understanding of Eladrin from 4e is that they are basically Aasimar elves.
I hope someone who knows more about 4e Eladrin will drop by and help.

My understanding is more that (flavorwise) 4e eladrin = 3.5e high elf, while 4e elf = 3.5e wood elf. Since the Pathfinder PRG doesn't make technical differences between individual elf subtypes, your best bet would be to convert your eladrin to a Pathfinder RPG elf. I guess that is the best match for flavor, even though the mechanics differ.

There aren't enough differences, are there? Half of which would disappear in Pathfinder.
Ability scores: Are different between the races, but since you're converting characters instead of making new ones, just keep their current ability scores.
Size and Vision: Exactly the same for both races and between 4E and Pathfinder.
Speed: Elves are 5 feet faster then Eldarin. Since as Zaister said, 4e Eldarin are just High Elves and 4e Elves are just Wood Elves, allow the now wood elf player a speed of 35' instead of 30 in natural terrain? Or just say both have 30' and it doesn't matter as much since Pathfinder isn't based on minis and grid combat.
Languages: Both have Common and Elven, just as the pathfinder elves.
Skill bonuses: Eldarin get +2 on History and Arcana, which is Knowledge(History), and a fusion of Knowledge(Arcane) and Spellcraft? Elves get +2 on Nature and Perception, which is Knowledge(Nature) and Perception. Pathfinder Elves have +2 on Spellcraft and Perception, so a combination of the two. There are three options for handling this, either make them both take +2 on Spellcraft and Perception, make them both keep their 4E bonuses, or let them both choose which to take.
Weapon proficiency: 4E Eldarin have swords, Elves have bows, Pathfinder elves have both. Give them both the Pathfinder elven weapon proficiencies.
Fey Origin: This is 4E fluff and rules, doesn't apply to Pathfinder so both races lose this.
Racial Power: Fey Step and Elven accuracy disappear since Pathfinder give each race a racial power.
Other: Eldarin Will, Group Awareness, Trance and Wild step. Eldarin will is more or less Elven immunity to sleep and enchantments. None of the other things exist in the Pathfinder elves. Let both characters have the elven immunity to sleep spells and +2 against enchantments.
In short, make both players Pathfinder elves, let them keep their current ability scores, and give them the option of keeping the 4E racial skill bonuses or replacing with the Pathfinder ones.

Bear in mind that WotC are definitely basing the Eladrin on the Noldor (high elf/grey elf) concept and the Elf on the Teleri (Wood Elf) concept.
I'd personally either go with either of the following depending on your viewpoint of the race.
3.x Grey Elf Inspired
-2 Str
+2 Dex
-2 Con
+2 Int
+2 Wis
Noldor Inspired
+2 Dex
+2 Int
Treat them as fae-touched aasimars.
If you were willing to go whole hog I'd even consider changing type from humanoid (elf) to Fae.

I have an eladrin conversion right here.
That's not so much a conversion as a transplant though. You're pretty much just taking the 4E rules and replacing the "once per encounter" with "3 times per day" for the racial ability.

Thanks everyone!!
David I think you got it nailed right, until I see something better, I am going to use yours for the template.
Take a look at his Dwarf and Gnome "conversions" on the same page. They're not conversions. If they were he wouldn't need to re-convert races which already exist in Pathfinder and would convert the new races to be inline with the official pathfinder races. The better option is to convert the Eldarin to a standard Elf, and the Elf to a 3.5 Wood or Grey elf.

I saw that and have to say that it really was fine by me, I was looking for a write up and he provided it.
I could convert her over to a standard pf elf but it wouldn't feel right and as we have been playing the teleport has become a lifesaver on more than one occasion.
Again thanks Dave!

Um, actually, they are conversions. Gnomes, dwarves, etc. are not thesame in 4E as they are in Pathfinder. Therefore making them into Pathfinder races takes the work to "re-convert" them. They are designed to be true to how the races are presented in 4E, which is not the same as they are in Pathfinder. They are conversions, because conversion means taking something from anothr system and making them capable of working with Pathfinder.

You say you can convert the 4e Swordmage to Pathfinder. Could you help me do the same? Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

I'd go with turning the 4e eladrin into either an elf or an aasimar of elven descent (flavor more than any mechanical difference).
As others mentioned, Eladrin were the celestial exemplars of Chaotic Good from Arborea in 2e and 3.x, and for whatever reason they and their alignment vanished in 4e and their name got recycled for what were pretty much high elves of prior editions. Confusing as all get out to me.

Pathfinderized Swordmage right here.

Actually Eladrin exist in Pathfinder except theyr name was changed to Azata.
4th edition Eladrin probably could be represented by PF Elf with Fey Step available as a racial feat.
Fey Step
Prerequisites: Eladrin elf, character level 5th.
Benefits: Teleport once per day as a move action on a distance equal to current land speed. This is a supernatural teleportation ability that requires line of effect to the destination.
Fey Step, Improved
Prerequisite: Fey Step, character level 9th.
Benefits: Fey step can be used twice per day and requires swift action to activate.
Fey Step, Greater
Prerequisites: Improved Fey Step, character level 13th.
Benefits: Fey step can be used three times per day and requires a free action to activate.
Now I started thinking about whole tree of feats based upon Fey Step... Well, maybe later.

Just convert it to an elf. When you take away the fey step, 4e Eladrins are merely elves with extra snootiness built in.
