Off to take Caitlin to school. It's Photo Day, so she's done up all pretty. :)

Then back home for some time to myself.

Still working on my new article. I want to get it to my editor by tomorrow so I can post it this week. It has been too long since I had an entry.

I have been skiiping lots of posts in this thread when the unread ones build up. I believe I have caught references back and forth to your creating some roleplaying material. Could you possibly put back up a link? (Again.)

Sure, I run a Ptolus site/blog called the Workshop of the Clockwork Gnome . It features new and expanded material for Ptolus. Recently, I shifted from being system-neutral to supporting Pathfinder, so mechanics are thin. However, future articles will likely contain some mechanics as well as ample setting material.

Currently, I am in the midst of finishing up an article about orders devoted to Torskal, the Centaur God of Just Vengeance. But, more than likely, I will sneak an update of my home campaign before that. After all of that, I think I am going to provide some quick conversions for a few important NPCs. But that isn't set into stone.

Mostly I just write what strikes my fancy, but I also take requests. For instance, Freehold DM inspired the entire line of Torskal articles. I owe a lot of how they look to his suggestions.

In addition to the blog site, you can also read the entries at the Workshop's Facebook page.

I can't remember if you are on Facebook, as I have lost track of how many friend requests I have received over the last few days. It will take me a bit to properly connect names with Paizo aliases.

So apparently it appears I actually am on my own with noone to talk to.

Oh well, I suppose I'll go and watch new Doctor Who as I am keen to see what happens with the Weeping Angels.

I want to see that one. I wait until my Scottish co-worker can get me the BBC versions, because the American ones are almost 3 weeks behind and to top it off are edited for length and to add commercials. Errrgggg

Belly button piercing? Cool. Eyebrow piercing? Not so much.

Nose stud piercing? Depends. But when you have that nose piercing similar to what you find on bulls? No way.

Additional piercings on your ear? Sure. Lip piercings? Not so much.

I don't care for nipple piercings either.

As for tattoos ... it just depends. But what does annoy me is the typical rose on a breast tattoo. Cliche.

But a lot of us hetero males sure do love those tramp stamps on the backside. ZING! :P

EDIT: And I really loathe those earlobe piercings that stretches out exponentially. Never understood that.

I notice you didn't mention tongue piercings, he he

Ah. My crazy stripper ex-g/f had one. I actually don't mind it ... but ... since I'm hearing impaired and therefore rely on lip reading quite a bit ... it actually throws me off sometimes.

Speaking of lip reading ... other than people covering their mouth or mumbling while they talk ... a pet peeve of mine is when people talk out of the side of their mouth. Some people cannot help it and I understand, but it's distracting. A local meterologist does that and it gets to me everytime. Ugh.

He he, gotcha. Think only certain females really need them, if you get my drift. Why would we need to speak clearly to each other anyway, since we can text, FB, Skype, etc.

BTW you can recognize me when I speak out of the right side of my mouth, he he

I've got two myself:

- The one on my right ankle is my college Fraternity tattoo. Delta Tau Delta. So it's two greek Deltas and in the middle is a sword instead of a typical Tau. It's old, though, and could use some touch-up work.

- The second is a Mobius strip on my right shoulder. I'm a big fan of the Necroscope novels by Brian Lumley.

My wife also has two tattoos, more girly stuff. One is a dream catcher, the other is a sunflower.

Now that the Saints have won the Superbowl, my wife is swearing she's going to get a Fleur-De-Lis tattoo, and if she does I probably will as well. Maybe an Ankh.....

And...today just sucks ass so far. I developed a cold yesterday, it's raining this morning, and it seems as if the AC is off in the office. Not exactly a great way to start the week.

Goooooooooood morning Fawlty Towers!!!!!!

Not much to ramble about today. The weekend was full of espionage and double crosses, particularly where my storage facility is concerned. They're charging me for last month and this month due to a change they made with respect to when their billing cycle ends, and they refuse to take the money I called to tell them I was giving them because their system locks them out. Now I'm not going to be able to pay them until I get my tax rebate money, which is NOT how I wanted to spend that scratch...but at least I have the money I was *going* to give them on Saturday, so that eases the blow a bit. I usually try to find a way to turn such negatives into positives, but I'm at my wit's end on this one...

The second job was a taste of honey and vinegar this weekend. Friday was a night of drag-ass night, schlepping from venue to venue with no contacts to show for it. Saturday was a great one in a part of town I've become quite fond of, full of women wearing summer dresses on a hot evening, a random encounter with someone I met at a convention(who actually remembered me!!!), and yet another random encounter with a guy who insisted on kissing me on the cheek(repeatedly....) which showed me what I was putting my wife through whenever I do the same to her on those days I don't shave. Ladies, on behalf of men everywhere, I do apologize. On the bright side, I don't need to scrub that side of my face anymore! And, I got a few pictures of the handlebar job I want for my new bike off of this sweet road bike that was locked up outside of one of the clubs. It has TWO sets of brakes, one where they would be traditionally located on pursuit bars, and another set where they would be located on a straight bar. I'm going down to the bike shop today to show them the pics and put a down payment on the bike I want.

That's more or less it for me. What did everyone else do this weekend?

Morning, all! What did I miss?

Silver Crusade

Here's what's new with me:

Yesterday I went all out with the cooking. Boeuf Bourguignon, garlic mashed potatoes, and green beans almondine. Granted, I started cooking at 3pm and we didn't eat until 7:30, but everything came out great.

The real downside is that our air conditioning went out. On an 80-degree day in a second floor apartment with one window and the oven going all day, it was about 90 the whole time.

Anyway, we had some guests and it was a nice time and a great dinner.

In other news, my boss is back from her maternity leave today, so I'll have to go back to being a bit more careful about my internet usage.

She had a boy. (It's her second - she has two boys now.)

Incidentally, I suspect she may be a gamer. We don't talk personally much, with her being my boss and all, but I know she's a die-hard Trekkie (she even has most of the books), and being a gamer would just fit with what I know about her.

My band teacher in Junior High was the same way- a martinet, in retrospect, but he had EVERY novel the INSTANT it came out. These were the days before the intarwebs were as strong as they are now, so it was quite a feat.

Silver Crusade

My partner's brother is getting married in 2 weeks, and my partner is the best man. We've been trying to figure out what to do for a pre-wedding get together (the groom in question would despise a "bachelor party", but we feel like we should do something.)

It's not going to be a surprise, because the groom hates surprises, so we had been thinking about just going out for drinks with some of his friends, male family members, etc, but he (the groom) thinks that would be awkward, and wants to make it a dinner.

That's all well and good, but we're paying for it. So looking at the guest list, at a nice restaurant, this is going to wind up costing $400-$500. What a pain in the neck.

The worst part is, the bride heard about it and insists we invite the maid-of-honor's boyfriend. Except that nobody can stand him. He is going to show up in jeans with paint on them, unshaven and smelling like a litter box (he doesn't shower or wash his clothes - ever), and will, based on prior experience, order as much expensive food as he can knowing that someone else is paying for it. Seriously, he's that douche who orders two entrees and takes one home as "leftovers" because it's on someone else's dime. He's done it before.

Anyway, just venting here.

Sorry about the family awkwardness, CH. Hopefully it won't be too much of a headache for you guys.

Sick kid being clingy. Sigh. Poor thing. He's not well enough to play, but still has more energy than he knows what to do with. :/

Well, the surprise party Roger and Nancy were planning for their son went a little haywire when he showed up to the party with his new best friend, a clone of Attila the Hun. Downtown, the police were busy responding to a rogue penguin that had escaped from the zoo and now threatened the lives of a busload of girlscouts. Meanhwile, on the outskirts of town, Gary and Erik were trying to convince Joshua that he really couldn't summon a demon using "magic spells" contained in the Harry Pot....NO, WAIT! That's my soap opera.

Morning all. Had a dream a raptor that wanted to eat me was chasing after me. Must've been because I watched Ice Age 3 before going to bed.
