Nope none at all. Enjoy your evening out. Don't eat all the brains.
Hey Gary, how about I get my own personal avatar.
Hey Gary, I sure would like to be able to apply the ban hammer myself.
Hey Gary, about that Sebastian guy.....

Well, now I feel like I have caught up with all my Fawtly pals. Except I didn't get to game or overindulge. :(
That's too bad. I would have thought this last weekend would have been the perfect opportunity to start up as a home tattooist.

Gooooooooooood morning Fawlty Towers!!!!!
R.I.P Greatest Week EVAR!!!!!. You will be sorely missed.
This week isn't off to a sucky start exactly, but it is going to need a bit more elbow grease than last week did, methinks. I'm going to be researching prices for bus/train/plane fares from NY to SC to see my dad for next month, and it'd be VERY good if I could get in touch with him to see when he would be available so I could get time off of work for BOTH jobs. I'll also be seeing an old friend of mine while I'm down there, so that's someone else I need to coordinate with. It'll be dicey and potentially headachy, but not impossible.
Another curveball has been thrown my way this weekend as my DM informed me that the Ptolus game will be ending in another 2-3 sessions. I guess we all knew it was coming, but I don't buy into the whole "it had to end sometime/we can't do this forever/we had a good run" trope that's so often trotted out at the apex of open-ended games. My wife thinks I'm insane for thinking that, but what will she say when the Darklight Sisterhood game ends?
Also caught up with a very old friend who corroborated what a lot of Upstate NY posters have said about the region. He lives up in Binghamton now, and was driving to Ithaca and described his fear at going to visit a few friends who live in the "real boonies". Stars n' bars that far north give him the willies, and he is somewhat afraid for my sensibilities, if not exactly my safety, should I visit those areas with him. I have no problem with southern pride, to be sure, but political arguments will probably have no small amount of vitriol provided there is enough moonshine in me. Still, he's more concerned that some of the...ah..potentially closer related folk up there worship Yog-Soggoth more than they are closeted racists or anything like that.
And finally, in other news...
*ahem*
There is a bit of frustration there as apparently blogspot and microsoft word don't play cut-and-paste together anymore, so I'll have to put everything in the old fashioned way. I'm also going to be revisiting the Clerics entry with an update for an optional rule there, so any who are interested should check both out later on today. I'm certainly interested in some feedback for both, as I think the fighting styles I came up with for the Monks sacrifice some fantastic elements in exchange for some playablity and {read: VERY VERY SMALL AMOUNT) of realism. I may edit that particular entry one more time as I do more research on fighting style I am not personally familiar with, but I think it's a good start.
And that's it for me for now. I've got a mountain of paperwork ahead of me and one of my coworkers is out, so I'm not sure just how often I'll be able to post. Still, once everything is updated, I'll put up links and such.
[EDIT] WELCOME BACK FROM MINI-CON ALL!!! Great to hear about the Paizo tats(Don't think I'll be getting one myself should I go...maybe a sticker though)!

There is some seriously scary country up here. Southern pride is one thing... I've heard from a number of well-travelled people that they would take the Deep South over rural NY/PA any day.

Well, I'm bringing it back in my setting! It's very dragon-heavy, and they like their shiny coins for sleepin' on and such.puts it on list of things to do
Any other denominations I'm missing in terms of cash?

Good morning, all. What did I miss?
Crimson Jester ate 50 sliders from White Castle and barely managed to roll out the door. Before he could make it to his car, he was attacked by Aberzombie who could not resist the smell of his delicious burgery brains. Studpuffin later came across Crimson Jester's body and stole his wallet to go buy poodle pron. Celestial Healer, stopping in to get some chicken Rings, took pity on the poor guy and resurrected him... as a lemur.

Asthma. Instead of wheezing I cough. And allergies too. And I'm just getting over a sinus infection. I'd been coughing for more than a month when I broke my rib.

OUCH!!! That's awful. I have a friend who is currently recovering from coughing cracked rib right now now. It really sucks.

Hugs, Lyn. That sux.
Creepy Con Idea for you folks -
Show up to play armed with your very own sock puppet AND a MINI! You can outfit your sock puppet like your character, but you may only speak with the puppet on your hand. Or other appendage if you are able to make the mouth work. When you speak without moving the sock puppet's mouth it'd better be Out of Character!
Yes, I'm weird. I just thought the mini-Con would have been more hilarious this way, since YOU DIDN'T PLAY WITH MINIS!!!!

Where the hell are Astral Diamonds from and do I want them in my campaign setting? And furthermore, where does this rundown come from?
The first several are from 1E and i think was still in 2E.
Tin Pennies
Brass Quarters
Copper Dollars
Silver 10 spot
Electrum 50
Gold 100
Platinum 250
AD is worth from 4E 1000
This is if I remember it all correctly. I tried to find a link that would in fact show this and could not. Been busy here at work.
This is why by the way, back in the day you got 1 xp for every GP you received.
