Much better now that I got a much needed haircut.
Got a buzz didja?

Not quite a buzz but it had grown out for long enough that a lot could be cut without it being a full buzz.

Take care and I hope you can make the most of the visit.

I think I am out of here too for now.

Hang in there, Taigher. Maybe you can focus on that "assignment" you were wanting to dig into as a temporary distraction. If you need a fresh set of eyes, just drop me a line. =)

Wish I had a clue as to what that pesky volcano is planning. Mom's flight is due to take off from CDG tomorrow for arrival at ORD on Sunday. CDG looks horribly constipated. Ash will do that to ya.

Well, based on what I heard on NPR this morning, I'd make arrangements to stay longer and enjoy her prolonged stay.

Was it my breath? PLEASE, take me back!

Honey, the truth is, they miss the crazy. Oh yeah, they miss it.

Eric, sorry for the family loss. Damn, 41 is young.

Thanks. much appreciated. I am going to see the inlaws today, so I will hopefully find out more details. I'll keep you posted.

So I went into the break room to watch some tv, and instead of something even barely palatable they have MTV on with this show called 16 and pregnant I am thinking to myself oh a warning show about why you should think twice. Ok, I could understand that. Instead it seems to be a show about how this isn't so bad you should try it yourself. Man I am glad I have sons.

Ugh. Dumb reality shows.

I now have a paranoid reason for why Mona is ignoring my attempt to engage him about Charles R. Saunders.

The Exchange

Sounds like many of my friends are having rough goes of it. :(

I hope it all turns out as best it can.

How are the rest of you happy band of crazies doing today?

Mona avoids engaging you because your vast intelect intimidates him, he knows he is beneath the Great M. ;)

Heh. An arrogant reason to put in the list beside the paranoid reason:

Cosmo and Mona's Mamma.

Well I missed all the fun, I guess.

Found out my brother in laws mother passed away this evening. She was a very nice lady, and my heart goes out to him. I did not know her that long, but she made it feel like I had known her all my life.

She was 41 years old.

Good time for a bookmark I guess.

I hate getting old, you start losing those you love and care about.

Wow. 41. That's still young. Sorry.

But I thought Cosmo was Mona's mama. :P

(Now watch my AP sub get 'lost' this month.) :D

Sympathies. Family stuff is the roughest.

No, Cosmo is the the good son. That is why he gave his poor mama one of his eyes after she lost hers. Of course, Mona didn't really have one to spare.

Really sorry to hear this, Taig. Hang in there. At least she is still coherent.

But I thought The Good Son was just secretly evil and wanted to kill his brother all Cain-like. I refuse to beleive that Monas evil could not have tainted the womb and spred to Cosmo as well.

Still getting better. Now that I have been nudged by my wife, Paizomaniacs, and some old school friends I may take a shot at writing fantasy fiction. I wonder if I could really pull it off? My knowledge seems lacking compared to a lot of people here, but I do have a vivid imagination.

Well, their mama is evil, of course. In a spooky unaware fey sort of way.

What kind of fantasy? The "Gorath stepped towards the Dark Priest, his sword drawn and poised to cleave the foul warlock in twain should he so much as speak..." kind or the "Rivers chest swelled with the sharp intake of breath as Diviah's tounge found her nipple and..." kind?

What kind?

The kind to test my brain. ;P Maybe as a precursor I'll try to rewrite the Jack Hammer/ Jorgen Hammerstryke spirit walk/discovery entries I've posted here, linky . Of course they'd need a significant rewrite to be more appealing.

If I tried writing in a more historical/accurate context I'd fall flat on my face.

At the very least it will be an exercise in waking up all sections of my brain, so that's good in itself.

Too bad the wife won't let me research the erotic fantasy too much. ;) But maybe a little....

Gorath watched as the Dark Priest prepared the sacrifice. The young woman's skin glistened with fear as he approached... ;)

Chicken! Err, I mean raven.

That's a smokin' alias. But, I bet it puts U into the fetal position with the memories of exactly how far those cops went that night so I understand.

U - What happens at Madi Gras stays at Mardi Gras. :)

Coincidentally, COPS was on location at that time. Fortunately, I did not make a guest appearance.

The cops are good at hiding the plunger incidents. Well, most of the time. :P

I've just started working on it.

I also picked apart a friend's resume, so that was somewhat therapeutic.

Frickin' volcano. You'd think she could burn a sending to let us know what's going on. rawr

Sorry your mom is stuck there, and you don't know what's going on. Is telecommunication being affected, too, or is it just that the tubes are clogged with a lot of people trying to get hold of people over there?

Glad to see you, Taig.

SP: Ah, man. You were entertaining me, big time. JExGF needed someone to talk to.

I got pregnant on that honeymoon. I think maybe we should go back and NOT have sex yet....just wait the five years we had decided on. :P

Speaking of kidsies, mine are fed, bathed, dressed in jammies, and in bed.
