Hey all. I'm looking to get a PbP game up and running on these boards and I'm looking for up to four players.
We'll be playing using 3.5 rules.
Standard Races and Classes.
28 point buy for stats
max starting gold for character class
max hp at 1st level. For every other level take your HD, divide by two and add 1, then add your Con modifier.
So a wizard with a 12 Con would get 4 hit points when he takes a new level.
I know it's kind of impossible on these boards, but limited knowledge of Rise of the Runelords is preferable.
Anyone interested?

I'm rather new to PbP, and don't own any of the Paizo APs, but I am familiar with 3.5. How about a gnome wizard (or illusionist)?
By the way, how detailed of a background is needed/desired? I understand that there is a Players Guide to Rise of the Runelords that is a free download - should we look at that?
Thanks!

If you have a character concept you'd like to propose, post it here and I'll get back to you. Basically I'm looking for four players so I'll select them from the concepts I think will work best.
As for background, a basic one is probably okay. Don't get too too detailed, since the characters are 1st level. The real adventure doesn't start till the campaign does. The Players Guide is a definite good choice to look at for flavor.
Celestial Half-Porc, the stat generation guidelines are:
All abilities start at 8
You have 28 points to purchase with.
9-1 point
10-2 points
11-3 points
12-4 points
13-5 points
14-6 points
15-8 points
16-10 points
17-13 points
18-16 points
Apply racial modifiers afterwards, so human characters will have scores ranging from 8 to 18 and nonhumans will range from 6 to 20.

I am leaning toward a Chelish Human fighter. Born to supporters of the diabolism that is now Cheliax, he soon found that he agreed little with what his family and the country in all was spiraling toward. Determined to make a difference in the world, he ran away to Sandpoint hoping to join the city watch or acquire some bodyguard jobs.

I would be interested, I have a passing familiarity with RotRL. Just to clarify is this WoTC D&D (if so what sources) or PFRPG. I will post a character concept in a bit (probably something clericy).
PS: You may get more response if you post in the "Gamer Connection" forum, this forum is mostly for discussion threads, while connection is aimed for recruiting

I do have a knowledge of RotRL, but know how to keep metagame information separate.
I would be interested in either a Varisian human wizard or a Magnimarian (Chelaxian descent) paladin of Iomedae.
The wizard would originally be from Sandpoint. However, he has just spent the last few years in Magnimar finishing his apprenticeship in the Golemworks. He has recently returned looking for work and wanting to spend sometime with family, since he's been overworked in his study/work for the last few years.
The paladin would be originally from Magnimar. He is starting his travels of the countryside to see what wrongs he can right, or what natural blessings of the gods he can find in the world. He wishes to be able to try and bring civilization to the uncivilized.
Thanks.

I'm leaning heavily towards the monk idea:
The young Shoanti, Daskat of Tamiir-Quah, is yet to earn his name—the title bestowed upon a Shoanti warrior after accomplishing a great feat of heroism or bravery. Resolving that the time has come to change this, Daskat left the mountains of his people on the advice of the clan shaman, to seek his glory in the lowlands of Varisia. He has travelled far, though he has yet to find himself with any challenges beyond the occasional bar-room brawl or orc raiding party, perhaps this will change as he arrives in the port-town of Sandpoint… only time will tell.

Here's my gnome illusionist concept:
Gimblethorp Boddynock ('Gimble' to his friends) led a quiet, sheltered life in the idyllic gnome community of Sipplerose in the Sanos Forest. Gimble spent his formative years studying the arcane arts of the illusionist, with the goal of one day becoming one of the community's guardians like his parents. However, a part of him secretly wished to travel the world like his uncle, Dimble Boddynock, a member of the famous (or infamous) Pathfinder Society. As the years of his training came to a close, Gimble found this desire to run away and see the world becoming more and more attractive. Within two days of finishing his apprenticeship, Gimble gave into his wanderlust and set out for a life of adventure, promising to send word to his parents of all the wonders he would encounter.
Upon leaving the Sanos Forest, Gimble fell in with a wandering clan of Varisians near the town of Nybor. The group took a liking to the affable young gnome, and he has spent the past few months traveling with the band across Varisia, taking in the sights with wide-eyed wonderment. Now the caravan has arrived in the town of Sandpoint looking to trade art and curios from their travels and to entertain and perform small jobs before heading out to wherever the road may lead them next.

Hey all, sorry to kill this before it starts, but a recent unforseen development in the real world is going to keep me from running this game. Thanks for you interest, and sorry I couldn't get it off the ground after less than a day, but it'd be impossible for me to devote enough time to it.
Thanks again for the interest. Stay well.
