They die?
Taking an eidolon hostage seems like it would be kind of tricky what with the range limit between an eidolon and the summoner.

An eidolon cannot wear armor of any kind, as the armor interferes with the summoner’s connection to the eidolon.So an NPC who knows this restriction takes an eidolon hostage and slaps some leather armor on it against its will. What happens to the eidolon? What happens to the summoner?
Easy. The summoner laughs at the audacity of the criminal who kidnapped his eidolon and walks/rides 10,000 ft away. Then he waits until the next morning and summons his eidolon. Asks where the criminal are and goes and crushes their skulls. The armor would fall off when the Eidolon was dismissed due to damage.
It's impossible to take an Eidolon captive. The Summoner can dismiss the Eidolon at any time, and higher level Summoners can dimension door their Eidolon to them.

That would be a foolish tactic on the part of the summoner as when you resummon your eidolon it comes back with the same amount of hp's it left with, unless it was slain, then it's only half hp... no more free recharge.
