More seriously, I wrote a story for Wayfinder 2 that Lilith said she liked but didn't feel was entirely appropriate for the magazine. So joined the good folks at Pathfinder Chronicler and after a few edits, and a couple of title changes, it's ready for the world.
Let me know what you think.
And while you're there, take a gander at some of the other stories that are up for people to read.
And if you feel a presing need to work on your own writing skills, editing skills and if you would like to try your hand at Golarion fanfiction, feel free to join us with an offering of your own.

Nice story. I wonder about it, though.
Or is it the usual kind of lycanthropy, spread by bite? Did one parent bite the other? Did the parents deliberately give their children their condition? Why would they, if the mother is so reluctant for her daughter to obey this natural instinct?

Thank you each for your kind words concerning the story. I like to think that if you read it a second time, it is of such a nature that you realize what you thought you had read was actually something quite different throughout, from the title on.

Thanks for the reply, Wicht. I never read the AP nor the novel you mentioned, so I didn't know. I gather that...

Yes, Morgen knew that, as indicated by the "Hahaha."

Hey, Wicht, you don't suck.
Seriouly, I enjoyed the story. And I feel your pain on the title. If you're not going to use First Time, it would be great to think of another title that evokes the play you are going for. Seems like there's a line in dialogue that should end in a question mark, not a comma.

I liked that one Wicht!
A +1 from me as well.
As for why it didn't get into Wayfinder...probably because thats not the sort of story that party that is now short one man will write about, methinks.
Not to mention it was from the monster's perspective. That's the only reason I can think of. It was definitely a good story and worth the read.
Hmm...
Perhaps there should be a collection of stories told from monsters perspectives?
A story of say
It'd be worth thinking about.

Yasha, I don't think it has anything to do with the perspective, i think its more the game of words and the confusion it causes, most begin expecting certian thing.. and this might have been considered above PG13...

It didn't make it in because the original title was "Her First Time," and Lilith thought the title (and perhaps content) was too provocative and sexually suggestive for the potential target audience.

Well her lose :P
our gain
its must be said that Witch has been a great addition to the group.

I loved it.
I haven't had the time to read much on Pathfinder Chronicler but I'll have to check it out more.

Please do, Trevor! We have much more Pathfinder goodness coming soon...including Pathfinders of Qadira and other ongoing fiction set in Golarion.

First +1 for the story. I think we all expected the twist, but the ride to the end was great too.
As for PG-13...
I think PG-13 ruined things. As a child of the 80's, we had G, PG, and R. And you could still get boobs and buns and a few 4 letter words (and even an orangutang giving you the finger...see Tony Danza's Going Ape) in a PG movie. (Clash of the Titans anyone?) But now with PG-13, everything has been pushed into R...
That being said, I think its a great movie and wouldn't think it is inappropriate for 13 year olds. And I like the character and the idea of the family "curse" and traditions...

completely brutal.
well if there was more to it, It'd make a good book.
dont have any pathfinder novels, or compilation of short tales.
they are in the working, but the group prefer quality over quantity... not that there is something wrong with quantity :P

I also just joined the group and while I am currently writing more golarion specific fiction, it takes a little time to produce any amount of quantity. :)

I saw the twist from the get-go, but I still loved it.
And if I'm remembering correctly, this is the second story of yours that I've read now, and it's the second one I've enjoyed. First a very authentic Lovecraft pastiche in Wayfinder #1, and now this little gem. Good work.
EDIT: I, too, think I'm going to have to check in on Pathfinder Chronicler more often.

I'm glad you enjoyed both of them
But it is probably the third story of mine you have read. I also did a collaboration with Tarren and Neil for Wayfinder 1 - The Greenhorns. I did the dwarf's journal. Tarren did the minotaur's journal in that effort and Neil did the journal of the priestess.
Greenhorns, incidentally, continues in Wayfinder #2 for those that enjoyed the first offering.
