I was hoping for an Option 5 (something clever from you guys maybe off another game you had been in) but forgot to put that on the list.
Option 2 it is unless the others pipe in with a new insight. The idea of pairing up or even the odd threesome is a good one, especially with the way some of you have built relationships and backgrounds already.
Part of the onus will be on people not to be loners or slow posting (myself included) and I'll try to give the odd nudge or two before forcing the group back together when needed.
I am intending for the party to use somewhere as a base of operations during their stay and hopefully the group will talk there when they meet up. Remember that to promote roleplay I tend to hand out snippets of info to different characters, sometimes on purpose and sometimes it just happens.
Now how is everyone doing on updating their PC? I'll take a look later.
Cheers

Ari is Levelled up
I'll start going over the updates while my daughter sleeps (see how far we get with this).
Mark, what rogue talent did you pick up for second level? I have a feeling you may have missed that. The rest looks sound, I would appreciate a breakdown of your changes next time around please. Something like new level of rogue, hits 5, skill ranks x/y/Z, etc. It makes checking easier.
DM Note: I forgot to say that in my home game I let players re-roll if they get 1 hit point in the end. Ari rolled a 1 twice and then a 5 so he gets the five. That allows me to feel more justified in toughening up encounters a little.
Also you need to add his Con bonus to his hits and reset his current hit points.
The skill that made me smile was Ari has +7 in Knowledge Dung. Thanks Mark for that. However I think even with one rank Sleight of Hand should be +7 (+3Int, +1rank, +3 class bonus) and Craft (trapmaking) should be set at +6 (+2Dex, +1 rank, +3 class bonus). Last but my no means least, Ari should have a total of 24 ranks 2x(8+3Int+1(favoured class)) and my calculations make it 19. Can you take a look at them?
Cheers

Kurn is now level 2
I reckon I can sneak in one more.
Kurn's CMB = +1 and CMD = 11.
He has Skill Focus as a feat - need to choose a particular skill such as Heal or Diplomacy for that and increase the skill by +3 as well.
Will Save = +6
You have 2 more ranks to assign thanks to high Intelligence. And because cleric is a favoured class, you can choose either having one more hit point or one more skill rank.

Hi FW
Took a look at my character SofH is Dex based not Int.
He has 23 Ranks, minuses in some due to armour penalty, Acro 2, Climb 2, Disable Device 2, Disguise 2, Intimidate 2, Perception 2, Sense Motive 2, Slight Of Hand 1, Stealth 2, Swim 2, Know Loc 2, Know Dun 1, Craft Trap 1.
I took Power Attack as my Rogue Talent
Hope this is OK now

Jorgen is a fascinating character. I ended up reading all the spoilers.
Anyway everything looks good but can you make the following minor change,
Ranged: 3 Javelins +4 (+5 within 30') 1d6+1 x2 30ft
Ranged: 2 throwing hammers +4 (+5 within 30') 1d4+1 x2 20ft
Also if you get time can you list the ranks in each skill after each one (like Ragnar) it makes it much easier to check.
Otherwise I think my next PC may be an inquisitor, they rock. And with the way I am losing then I had better start writing him up now.
Cheers

I think my next PC may be an inquisitor, they rock.
Inquisitor is my new favourite Class. I think I'm onto my 4th Inquisitor now and I don't want to stop. :)
Saorise gained:
+1 BAB (also CMB/CMD)
+1 Will Save
7 hp (5 Roll + 2 CON)
+1 Rank in Knowledge (Arcana)
+1 Rank in Perception
+1 Rank in Spellcraft [Bonus Human]
+1 Rank in Stealth [Bonus Favoured Class]
Message (Cantrip) as her newly known Spell
+1 1st Level Spell/day
:)

So, they want an explanation of what the possession thing is about and I'm certain Ragnar isn't the guy to put it forward, so if anyone needs a rundown on what I remember of the cursed ship:
- The unfurled sail had a rune of destruction/storm/calamity on it, when previously thought blank.
- The masthead was inscribed with a smoking rune and burst into flame when we set out to sea.
- When Drago was layed out on the deck after being hit with the falling mast, runes spread out under him causing his leg to grow gangrenous, a fate Taggrik almost shared.
- When we were beached at the cove, Taggrik was possessed and tried to murder the unconscious, post amputation Drago.
- When Taggrik himself returned to consciousness, he said that he was convinced he was a dwarf sorcerer tortured and killed by a previous captain and crew of the Albatross and felt a driving obsession to for revenge on the captain, any captain.
- During our row to Stuvoy, a black mass of rats burst up through the hold and the tiller became a snake in Kurn's hands.
- And now a possessed Thorsten tried to murder Kurn in full view of Stuvoy's authorities.

OK sorry about my absence guys. I had internet issues again and have been catching back up the past week (and unfortunately this PbP was the last I've caught up on due to it had the most posts and being an intensive game it will take me a lot longer to go through than my other ones. I am off work sick tomorrow though adn it is my mission to get back on track with it. I'm going to bed now, but expect me to post tomorrow. Once again, sorry for my absence.

Question for you guys, we are at a bit of a crossroads with the game. With your help I can work on the next parts of the adventure more thoroughly in one direction or another.
Firstly the lands of Ackrieg, and especially Stuvoy, are ripe for a Kingmaker style game of reclamation and growth.
Or we could continue with this as a party on the move and travelling further afield. Things like the lack of a ship can be resolved if needed.
Which would everyone prefer?

Anya has no problems being on the sea and I like that just fine, but neither really get me going as much as a good 'overland (and under?) conquering the unknown wilds style campaign', as Mark puts it. I've enjoyed the village RPing stuff but Anya is a fighter and is built to kill stuff.
As for Kingmaker style? Not too familiar with it but as a general concept, I can't really see Anya working to help put someone else in command. At least not at this point in her adventures

I am easy either way. A bit of wilderness trekking would round out my character concept, but in all honesty it doesn't need to be either sort for me. I like the idea of basing ourselves somewhere and trying to solve the villages problems, at least some of them!

Thanks for those comments. I had originally intended that the party travel round the outskirts of the land, but reading everyone's comments about overland exploration and mixing the land and water there is a better way of doing this using fjords, lochs and wide inland rivers.
Oh and Ragnar, I'll make sure there is a trollborn or two.
