Making an Alchemist

So, like what kinda feats do you give this guy?
I was thinking that point blank shot might be kinda groovy.
Then brew potion......makes sense.
Doesn't look like many of the other at range feats would work though.
Doesn't look like vital strike works either, though that's prolly a good thing.

Soon as he has a role in the game, a niche, then maybe some feats would come to mind.

First feat I can think of would be "Find a niche in the game" before designing a class. That would improve the Alchemist a LOT.


You kinda have to decide where your going with the class. Are you focusing on Bombs, Mutagens, extracts... You can also focus on poison but there is only on discovery for that and the feats that involve poison arn't really worth it.

If your focusing on bombs there are quite a few feat options. most of the ranged feats work. Point blank shot and far throw are awesome.

I think the role is "blasty guy". Now, maybe he needs some help to be a good blasty guy, but that's a legitimate role.

For feats I agree with Point Blank Shot (since it's one of the very few feats that add to the alchemist's bomb damage...).
