BUMP!

The Exchange

I think that this is a good spot to start

Fighting against a thieves guild was all but the several first stories.

Frog God Games

RPG Superstar 2011 Top 4

Umm... Equilibrium?

The primary cinematic influences on Wes and I while we were plotting out Council of Thieves were:

The Omen
The Godfather
Dario Argento's Three Mothers trilogy (Susperia, Inferon, and Mother of Tears)
The China Syndrome

As far as literary... ANYTHING to do with thieves in RPGs more or less owes its existence to the work of Fritz Leiber.
