Missing Sessions from Dragon*Con 09

Pathfinder Society

Greetings,

I got to play some pathfinder at Dragon*Con, got my character to 2nd level... but when I check my repored Sessions, they have not been reported yet.

I have no idea where my character is and was hoping to rebuild him based off my reports... and I have a game this weekend...

Help

The bigger the Con the less likely all of the tables will be reported

Little pieces of paper tend to get lost dispite the best efforts of the Con Organizers.

If you don't have the report and it isn't listed on the board you may have not count them.

If you can remember the Mod Names or Numbers that would perhaps allow you to get a GM to sign off on them.

This is unofficial and Josh may have a different solution

Good Luck

I've been trying to get a hold of the coordinator for Pathfinder Society for Dragon*Con and have, as of today, been unsuccessful. I'm still hopeful he'll get back to me, especially since folks are telling me that Dragon*Con 2008 still hasn't been reported on ...

Wow 2008?????

You may want to look into a new coordinator for Dragon*Com Pathfinder games....

I'll be there myself this year. :-)

Its amazing, all 4 of the con hotels are already sold out. Everyone now is going to the overflow hotels.

Josh,

Its a LOT of fun... make sure you make some time to see the events...

So Joshua

Here is the big question, I seem to had lost my character.. so can i just start him over with the same character number?

I may be playing a pathfinder game tonight, sucks I may have to start at 1st level again, but I can just suck it up...

You can re-create your character from your sessions, but that's it. And since it appears you haven't been fully reported on, you'll likely be lower level than you were before.

If you're set on a level 1, you'll need to make a new character under your Pathfinder number (-2 or -3 or what ever number you're on).

Say it ain't so my fellow Taldoran Ally and healing Cleric is missing. No way, how shall my Buccaneer survive. I had plans for him and his wife the Bard. Say she isn't missing either. This is Terrible, my character is in mourning at an inn drinking the week away till they got no more liquor left.

And there is much rejoicing, Hurray!

Ya in reality the new character may have some of the same attitude, but not as "happy go lucky"

I ended up rolling up an Inquisitor... going Inquistor/Fighter

building the character from Assassis Creed II

Since it seems that the people involved in dragoncon did not even submit 2008's events leaving many players high and dry(just wrong)- these people paid quite a bit of money to be at dragoncon to play pathfinder society and be included in the sessions section for their characters to be legal for play in pathfinder society. This does not inspire people to want to attend pathfinder at cons if the people involved in running the event don't even bother to enter player attendance(Paizo not blamed, dragoncon organizer's fault). Going thru the motions of having to purchase the scenarios, re-organize, and put together the same or equivalent players and/or party to re-run them is no fun and going thru the SAME scenario's (many, not just a couple) knowing what to accomplish does the players, scenario and author no justice at all(in my opinion). Nunspa played with his group of friends at dragoncon tables, couldn't he take the judge# on his friends and his own chronicle sheet along with the prestige points indicated on the sheet with the judges initials and OPEN the event table himself as the judges signature and pathfinder # are listed on his chronicle as being legal and submit his and his friends for the table they played, the judge on their chronicle did judge them and he would get credit on his profile for it.

If not, can Nunspa send an email to paizo indicating the table's he played with his friends and along with the chronicle's listed information- judge name, judge#, prestige points gained....etc and be entered/credited for him and his friends participation in pathfinder society. I'm sure Paizo can look up the organizers account request's and see if the dragoncon event's were even placed in the system.

I edited your post to correct your quote.

I've tried repeatedly to contact the Dragon*Con coordinator to no result. If anyone here knows Brooks, please poke him for me.

Josh, You may want to try Shy Aberman. He was in charge of the gaming in general. Brooks I have not seen this past Dragon Con.

I have been attending Dragon con since 1989 and I dont know if it is just me but I feel Gaming has gone from the "main event" of Dragon Con to a small side show. I can remember when the event was about 2K attendance and now I think they are about 40,000 these days. There were few tables of any tabletop games that I could see and it was disheartening. Dragon Con has become more of a melting pot of different interests.

I myself am attending my first Gen Con this year to find more of a focus on table top gaming.I hope to see you there.

I saw this way back in 2002 when I went there. Dragon*Con has not had a strong gaming audience in awhile. Though I think they still get strong support from White Wolf because the Con is in their backyard.

If it was not for the rest of the Con *scantily clad Women, scantily clad Women...some more scantily clad Women, add a little bit of scantily clad Women, Oh and a good dealers room* I would have less interest in going.

Sovereign Court

I haven't been to Dragon*Con since ~2000-2001 or so, and this is why. Gaming gets smaller and smaller, cosplay gets bigger and bigger. I don't know why they can't both be big, since the size of the con overall is larger.

White wolf was NOT present at Dragon Con 2009. It was hard to believe.

I would think if fair to let those players be counted as playing the adventure as long as they have there Chronicle Log. Nunspa and any others that were at the con should be able to email a list of Games play and there GM that signed it. It should be that hard to build a list from the players that email you the list. As for the Dragoncon organizer's, they should be Penalized for not following the Campaign rules.

Quote:

As a GM (and sometimes as the coordinator of a convention),

one of your most important (maybe sacred) duties is to
report the results of your scenarios online at paizo.com/
pathfindersociety. Reporting is a cascading effect. We need
accurate records so that we know how many people are playing
Pathfinder Society each month so that we can track growth so
that we can properly budget the Society. The more people that
play, the more money we dedicate to the Society (on potential
things like player and GM rewards). Failing to report can also
have direct consequences for a player who loses his chronicle
sheets—because we track things like sessions played and
prestige gained, we can do a fairly decent job of rebuilding
someone’s character lost in a fire or left behind at a convention
etc. If a character’s online records are not accurate, then in a
very real sense the character’s physical records are not as well.
Physical records always count as the truest accounting of a
character—but keep in mind the consequences of failing to
your report your sessions.

Those people shouldn't be allowed to run these events if they can't take a minute to Report the games as required...

My wife and I were so frustrated at the way all gaming was run at DragonCon 09,PFS in perticular, that I gathered this contact info to confront them about it later. After I calmed down I decided to just not game at DC again. Hopefully these will do you some good Josh.

Mad has just posted the information I have on them. Shy, contrary to his name, is quite responsive. Thanks Mad!

Emailed Dave and Shy. Someone is going to tell me where the reporting sheets from Dragon*Con are or I'm going to fly down there and find them myself.

Spoiler:
Grrrrrr.

Ok, so Dragon*Con 08 was reported (it was only 6 tables) and Dragon*Con 09 (many, many more tables) is now reported as well.

If you still don't see your Dragon*Con sessions listed for your character(s), post here.

Sovereign Court

Hurrah!

Now if only I could get the other half of my Gen Con 09 sessions reported for me....

All of the Gen Con 09 sessions were reported months ago.

Sovereign Court

I posted this in another thread, but I attended 4 sessions at Gen Con 09, and only 2 show in "my sessions". Two DMs there apparantly didn't report those sessions. I have all my paperwork (although one of the chronicle sheets signed by one of the DMs is very hard to read), and I probably won't get to play any more Pathfinder Society games until Gen Con 2010, so I guess I'm ok anyway.

I did 4 scenarios at Dragoncon*09, I only see the 1st one I did listed, I am still missing 3 more(2 by the same GM). Would you like us to post the actual scenarios with date, GM#, GM name, etc.... or do you want us to send our info by email, I am confirming with my group of friends who attended the games with me at our table if they have their stuff listed.

what if you have the GM name but no number any way to find out his # so to list it on the chronicle?

Email me the details on the ones that are missing. I need your PFS#, the GM's PFS#, the date/time you played, and the scenario # you played. josh@paizo.com

Send me the same info I asked for above. Your GM should have provided his/her GM# on the chronicle sheet. If they didn't I have no way to know what their number is.

Looks like I will be sending you my information also Josh. I played 2 and have only one showing.
