I like the flavor used with the "partial" domain that the Inquisitor gets, however I do have a question. I don't believe that as written the Inquisitor gains the spells known on their list... but I just wanted to see what others think:
An inquisitor does not gain the bonus spells listed for each domain, nor does she gain bonus spell slots.
Should this sentence instead say:
An inquisitor does not gain the bonus spells known listed for each domain, nor does she gain bonus spell slots.

Clerics don't add Domain Spells to their list either, as they aren't supposed to be able to prepare said Domain Spells in their normal Slots.
Cleric:
Each domain grants a number of domain powers, dependent upon the level of the cleric, as well as a number of bonus spells. A cleric gains one domain spell slot for each level of cleric spell she can cast, from 1st on up. Each day, a cleric can prepare one of the spells from her two domains in that slot. If a domain spell is not on the cleric spell list, a cleric can prepare it only in her domain spell slot. Domain spells cannot be used to cast spells spontaneously.
Inquisitor:
Each domain grants a number of domain powers, dependent on the level of the inquisitor. An inquisitor does not gain the bonus spells listed for each domain, nor does she gain bonus spell slots.
The wording is really just superfluous, since bonus (domain) spells don't exist separately from bonus (domain) spell slots. It could really just say "An inquisitor gains the domain powers of their chosen domain, but not the bonus spells." ...Which is a little more direct.

I do know this, and this is why I "assumed it wouldn't work this way." I simply felt that the added word would quell any confusion some people may have.

Sure, I guess I think going for FEWER words can be much clearer (like the example I gave).
In any case, I think the ability itself is cool (gaining Domain Powers)...
I had thought Domains would be a good alternate Bond option for Paladins,
and since this is the "Paladin" I could actually see playing, I'm doubly happy :-)
