so far I've just read the inquisitor class, and I like what I'm seeing, but the only thing that bothers me is the use of the judgements.
To me, this ability seems like it's intended to be their "bread n' butter" combat ability, but with uses per day, it seems like it may not work to well, considering the bonuses are both marginal in the long run (starts out maxing at +3's here and there). That is, they seem nice to have, but not overpowering so.
That's why I was thinking that maybe they needed something like the cavalier's challenge ability that is per encounter, instead of per day. Obviously, in its current form that won't work since it applies to everything, but I was thinking maybe at certain levels it applies to X many creatures, or applies to an additional creature every round, or something along these lines. Obviously, the bonuses may require a little tweaking, but I just wanted to throw it out there and see what comes up.

A lot of the bonuses you can get are pretty powerful. Fast Healing 3 for example is insane. I think it balances out fairly well as a uses per day. It lasts the entire combat and you can hot-swap judgements in and out( if you can deal with restarting their round progression ).

well, like i said, i don't think the simple tweaks i mention are 100% correct for how it should go, I'm just saying that, to me, it strikes me as an ability that you would be using more than 1/day, since like i said, it has the feel of the "this is my main feature" ability of the class, and the low usage per day makes it more of an "i'm going to reserve this for the boss" sort of thing
edit: I would also not really have a problem with "useable x times + something modifier" per day, but then you'd have to have some kind of duration cap or factor to end it during an encounter.
the low number of usages per day just seems kind of restricting to me in a read through of the class, and I was just gauging everyone else's thoughts on the subject.

What bothered me slightly was the open-ended nature of the judgement ability. Specifically, I don't want to end up with a silly situation where an inquisitor picks a fight with a squirrel or unnecessarily prolongs a fight with a weak opponent, just in order to use the Healing judgement.
I've seen that kind of thing done with the Tome of Battle maneuvers that heal, and I don't care for it.

But the squirrel was making fun of my mother!
I wouldn't say it is the "main" feature of the class either... Of the main features? Sure. But you have enough other abilities make up for it not being around for every encounter. It's kind of like the Paladin's Smite Evil. I really wish I could use it more often, but I understand that it's pretty powerful and needs to be limited.

Just a thought...
Extra Judgment
Prerequisite: Judgment Class Feature
Benefit: You can use your judgment ability 2 more times a day
Special: You can take this feat a maximum of two times.Anyways...
I figured since there were other extra "ability" feats, this one should work too.
I'd cut it to being taken once just like Extra Channel, but I don't see a huge problem with it other than that. Well, before play testing it at least.

You squirrel I judge you excessively greedy of nuts and I shall slay you!!
The healing judgment is pretty weak unless you abuse it in which case it's strong. I think most normal encounters you will probably only heal a few hit points.

I may be remembering wrong but from my readin earlier the judgement ability isn't used against a creature, but used in a fight. And since it lasts until the end of an encounter you have the abilitensor the entire encounter encounter. I think a one encounter per day ability is very useful at first level and by 10th level you'll end up getting to use it once per encounter every day (average of 4 encounters per day).

I haven't played it yet.... seems pretty decent to me. A lot of choices based on the encounter, most people will likely default to destruction or justice for 1-3 damage or attack bonus respectively but there are plenty of other good choices. Keep in mind at 8th level you get 2 of the bonuses and at 10th the bonuses double so you are doing potentially +3 attack and +6 damage per attack after the third round with is comparable to a rangers favored enemy bonus but works on everything. Further by 5th level the Inquisitor can put Bane on their weapon for an additional +2 to hit/ 2d6 damage on top of the destruction damage.
I can see the inquisitor working as an archer/ striker with some nice spells to help boost the class or act as general spell support.
