New Familiars Witch (and Wizard)

Round 2: Summoner and Witch

In another their thread I suggested consolidating the 'base' familiar, and it's bonus, (IE: Cat +3 Stealth) so that Wizard and Witch pull from this same list. This would entail having new familiars listed for the Witch. Jason has given us a few; Pig, Fox, Goat. I was wondering if there is any thought's to other 'base' familiars and the bonuses they would give.

I'll start:

Spider: Master gets a +3 bonus to Sense Motive checks

EDIT: "My spidey sense is tingling"

Its not just what the bonus's are, but what spells would that familiar grant. This also goes for the Advanced Familiar from improved familiar, like quasit, impt pseudo dragon etc.

Right, for the witch. I was just saying the familiar and familiar bonus. That would be universal for both. Though if people want to brainstorm bonus spells for given familiars feel free. =)

I think it'd be worthwhile to use the printing space for Witches to offer all new familiars, while referring to the Wizard's list for the current "Standard" familiars.

My suggestion: Crab, Natural armor bonus of +1, and an Abjuration-related bonus spell.

I like that the Witch has some new familiars, but I'd like it better (and think it would be a better use of space) if it were noted that Witches can pull from the Wizard list and vice versa and the list were of a set of twelve all new familiars.

It should also be made useful for those playing the game outside of Golarion. For example, with my medieval European fantasy game, I'd really like to see the following classic witch's familiars:

Dog (tiny) (ie. a turnspit dog)
Hare
Hedgehog
Moth/Butterfly
Squirrel
Dove/Pigeon (stats can be used for any Songbird of the sort we used to be able to buy back in 1st edition items and equipment section)

I'd also like to see the list broadened out to non-European animal that would make reasonable sense, including but not limited to the following:

Raccoon
Opossum
Skunk
Kinkajou
Parrot
some form of flightless bird (ie. Kiwi, Penguin or Dodo)
Carp/Koi

The Witch also really needs some form of magic goldfish bowl or cat carrier for those times when you'd obviously need something like that.

What do you guys think of this?

Spider: Master gets +3 on Sense Motive Checks.

Bonus Witch Spells:

2-Expeditious Retreat, 4-Spider Climb, 6-Gentile Repose, 8-Slow, 10-Insect Plague, 12th-Harm, 14th-Forcecage, 16th-Finger of Death 18-Imprisonment.

I'm curious:

Why are all the Stat enhancement spells present, except the Fox's Cunning (which you'd expect to be one of the most important)? Fox (who'd you expect to see it on) gets Mirror Image?

I'd say a spider needs some poison in there?

I thought that as well. It's on the witch base list, though.

Winged...monkey.

(Flying) Monkey: Master gets +3 to Slight of Hand checks

Butterfly: Master gets +3 to intimidate checks
*May seem odd, but, the pattern on the wings are meant to scare would-be predators.

Armadillo: Master gets a +1 natural armor bonus

...I can work on spells later. I have some Ideas.
