If you have the feat Spirited Charge and score a critical hit with the charge attack, Do you multiply the total critical by 2 or do you just add another weapon die? Like a weapon that is 1d8 damage with x3 critical. do you get 4d8(1 extra) damage dice or 6d8(double normal crit) damage dice?
Spirited Charge (Combat)
Your mounted charge attacks deal a tremendous amount of damage.
Prerequisites: Ride 1 rank, Mounted Combat, Ride-By Attack.
Benefit: When mounted and using the charge action, you deal double damage with a melee weapon (or triple damage with a lance).

Multipliers add not multiply (wierd I know). So spirited charge with a x2 critical would do x3 damage, A lance which has a x3 critical would be x5 damage (x3 for lance with spirited charge pluse a critical = x5).

Good question. I am unsure but would love to know the answer. I would guess you increase the multiplier.
example
Using spirited charge with a long sword would yield x2 damage, if you crit and confirm it would yield x3. Say you had a war hammer it would be x4 in that situation.
That though is a guess, I will await someone in the knows answer until I get home and look it up myself.

You don't multiply multipliers. You add them. The way you do it is thus:
Take the base multiplier for the weapon (usually x2, x3, or x4), then take the next multiplier and subtract 1 from it, then add the remainder. So if you have 2 x2 crits to stack, you get 2 + (2-1) = 3 for a x3 crit.
So in the case you presented, you have a x3 weapon and double it: 3 + (2-1) = x4 critical.

1d8 X3 + critical = 1d8 X4 + Spirited Charge = 1d8 X5
