Want to work on getting more familiar with the rules, so I'd like to run a quick one shot of Hollow's Last Hope. Probably very familiar to a lot of you, but I'll be happy to run it anyway just for kicks.
1) Pathfinder RPG rules only.
2) Traits: 2 from the Traits web enhancement.
3) Starting gold is average for class per rulebook.
4) 20-point buy system for abilities.
5) Four characters with a convincing reason to be there at the start of the adventure will be taken.
6) I'll update the adventure as I see fit re: encounters.
Feel free to try a type of character you wouldn't normally play. Use a Forum Alias to put up your character. Everything will be handled here on the Paizo boards.
Reply with questions/things I forgot.

I am interested! I have a beta half-orc barbarian that i can adapt to final rules, or I can generate a different char if that doesn't seem to fit in. Perhaps a Ranger?
A ranger might make more sense for the area where the adventure takes place, but it is more about playing something you haven't played before. If you'd like to use the Barbarian, please convert to final rules.

If you don't mind if I throw in for this?
I'm running a beta game which leads into this adventure so am interested in seeing how to handle this.I'll get started on generating a character once I finished the rounds and get it posted later today and hopefully beat the rush!

Still busy designing, but looking to pin down the wizard role!
And usually I play a cleric, paladin, ranger (two currently), rogue, have tried a Vudrani dwarven mage but that game folded so thought let the dice roll and see where they fall!
Keleshite wizard... still there's that trait web thingie to check up on though!
Owch! Just been rereading the Concentration mess, had this idea of having my wizard using her quarterstaff as her bonded item and then using the arcane strike to do more damage with it, but either I sacrifice the Toughness feat to gain Combat Casting or switch to Familiar so I can avoid that problem but then why keep Arcane Strike? Yeesh sorry if any of you were reading this wild and changing paragraph trying to figure out what to do guess a separate post is needed!

I wouldn't mind getting in on this, though I'm not familiar with the module at all beyond the blurb on the website...
I've been meaning to try the new paladin, are there any churches/temples to appropriate gods in Falcon's Hollow?
There is a church to Iomedae in Falcon's Hollow.

What the heck at least I can try this out even if I don't like what they've done to the Concentration and bonded item anyway!
You did say play something you'd normally would't and this certainly counts!
Still reading through the thread I found on the subject and I figure this is as good a place to test the waters so to speak!
I really want to see if this works, I have this idea of having Morganna casting Mage Hand to summon her staff to her hand... need to see if it applies and how this is covered by that of the Apprentice ability I've been hearing about...

Yeah, it doesn't look like that'll be easy, even while your bonded item is non-magical you'll need to roll a 16+ on the die. Once you enchant the staff, it's not possible at all.

Still going to give it a try, swapped out Toughness for Combat Casting thinking of replacing Arcane Strike with either Eshew Material or Point Blank Shot or maybe Magical Aptitude and go for the Evoker speciality with Necromancy and Enchantment as opposition schools.
Its a one shot so it will be interesting to see what happens, still haven't finished that thread but still might have to swap the traits as part of the back story for the reason Morganna is in Falcons Hollow though. With combat casting that puts it up to +8 so a 12-13 needed when without the staff and I was thinking switching one magic trait for the one that grants a 0th level spell but thats Charisma based and devotee of the green grants a +1 bonus to 2 knowledge skills but unless I swap out Perception and Knowledge/Local it doesn't feel viable.
Better get back to the character generation then!

Right updated hope this is okay!
Looks fine. Just as a heads up that at your current encumbrance, you are under a medium load, and will only be able to move at 20'/round (4 squares). Otherwise, info is fine.
+1 Wizard.

Jason Lillis wrote:Fair enough. I'm surprised there's not more interest for this, PbPs usually fill up straight away.I'll delay starting until we get a couple more folks. If we haven't acquired 2 more by tomorrow Noon EST, I'll scale the adventure for 2 characters.

Probably just the holiday weekend and most folks still being out of town. No worries.

Ok, well, if there isn't other interest, let me know what you'd prefer:
1) Play a 2-player PBP, something I'm happy to do, as it'll probably run a little faster.
2) Keep waiting for another couple players to confirm.

I haven't done a PbP in years, but I'd like to jump in if there's still time.
Sure. Make an alias with the character information, post here so I can take a look at it, then we'll go from there.

Sorry for the delay! It was, indeed, a busy weekend.
I see that you have four folks now. I loaded up a 1st level Druid in profile in case there is room for a fifth. If not, then no worries, I will catch next time!!

Just want to make sure: If he's wearing Leather armor, his AC should be 14, not 12. Also, you can still pick two traits from the traits online supplement.
Once you've got these, let me know, and you can join in the play.

Made the AC change, picked two traits, also provided stats for animal companion: badger. I will wait for word from you before posting.

ok, in the interest of keeping things moving, I will go ahead and post and assume that any other changes can be made on the fly.... <grin>
Basil,
Sorry for not replying to this. I had thought that I set up my RSS feed to let me know when this was updated, but apparently not. Thanks for coming in.-JL
