That's odd. I thought Elan looked barefoot even as late as #367.

This is a long shot, but does anyone happen to remember any mention of footwear shortly after #100? Why did Elan say "ONE hundred strips" and not 300?

I believe in the print books he mentions that there was an artistic overhall after 100 and Elan got boots.
