Well...it's been about 24 hours, and only 4 of 6 players have confirmed their places in this game. Hmmmm...
Alternates, keep your eyes open. We shan't wait forever for the other two.
Meanwhile, if confirmed players would kindly step over to the discussion thread we can begin finalizing character concepts.

Even though I'm not an alternate...
Watches thread hoping against hope. I've been dying for an adventure set in Cheliax to come out! Can I go on the waiting list if people don't pull through?
*puppy dog eyes*
Sure, but I want to give priority to those who posted their interest before my original cutoff.

All right, you lucky six...the moment is at hand.
First dibs to:
AJCarrington
Heaven's Agent
Uzzy
Dark Arioch
Calixymenthillian (hereafter known simply as 'Calix' 'cause I ain't typing that name ever again!)
d'AnconiaIf the six of you would, please pop in quickly and confirm your spot in the game. If you've changed your mind, please state that as well so a replacement name can be drawn.
Thanks to everyone for the massive interest in the game, and my regrets to those who didn't get pulled. Still, don't bury the thread too quickly, in case alts are needed.
Wahoo! Hopefully this isn't too late. Unexpected internet outage yesterday. I'll post over on the Discussion thread also.

Anybody still out there?
Okay, so two potential players have been forced to drop out in the character creation stage due to real life concerns. As of now, we have five excellent players ready and waiting to begin the game, but we could really use a sixth. The party is short on divine/healing ability, so a cleric would be a welcome addition.
Now, rather than draw another name and inviting one person, here's how I want to do this. First, head over to the discussion thread and familiarize yourself with the other players and their characters. Then, pitch me a solid character concept that you think will fit in well with the others (in terms of party balance) on this thread. It doesn't have to be a cleric, but it will make things easier for you if it is. Please...don't post over in the discussion thread unless you get in, please! Include in the pitch your choice of campaign trait, so I'll know you're at least a little bit familiar with the player's guide.
I'll take my favorite character concept if I get several, but I'm hoping to get someone quickly. So, if you're the first guy in and I really like your idea, that'll be all she wrote. So don't dawdle.
The other players are good ones, I can tell. You want in on this, don't you? So what are you waiting for?

*cackles with glee at the successful murdering of the people first in line*
Ahem.
My concept is thus: A half-elven cleric in service to the goddess Desna, traveling the world and sharing stories. She's not native to Cheliax (she actually hails from Varisian stock). She's a fortuneteller (owns a Harrow deck?), and devoted servant to her goddess. She has become enamored of the abandoned Pathfinder lodge of Delvhaven (surely it has some amazing stories to tell), and has been in contact with the Pathfinder Society.
Obviously, this concept uses: The Pathfinder's Exile as her campaign trait - and I think I'll use the Birthmark Faith trait from the Trait book. I have this mental image of the pupil of one of her eyes looking like a butterfly.
Future progression-wise, she'd have the option of Becoming a Pathfinder Chronicler (although that'd massively harm her casting progression), Harrower (because they're awesome), OR Spherewalker (actually related to her religion.
I hope you like it!

I'll throw my hat into the ring. I was waiting to see if a Council of Thieves PbP would take off. And I was already leaning towards playing a cleric.
My choice would be a CG human male cleric of Milani (the Everbloom), goddess of hope, devotion, and uprisings (with an emphasis on hope and uprisings because of the subject matter in the CoT AP).
The obvious trait for him from the CoT Player's Guide would be Westcrown Firebrand, as he's obviously agitating for a change in the tyranny imposed upon the city by the House of Thrune in Cheliax. I think the character is a natural shoe-in to join the "rebels" looking to inspire Westcrown's citizens with something other than the heavy-handed rule of fiends, Hellknights, and underworld criminals.
The other trait I'd like to select is Rich Parents from the main Character Traits document. This would help give him a background among one of Westcrown's noble families and access to more starting money and better equipment. But, clearly, he's a bit of a black sheep among his family, shunning their current obeisance to the rule of Cheliax. And he would abhor the notion of submitting himself to any devilish contracts. I'd likely use the money to give him a breastplate (best medium armor available for a cleric) and a masterwork morningstar (the favored weapon of Milani).
From a support perspective and "fitting in" with the party, I think he'd be a natural healer. One of Milani's chief tenets is Healing, but I'd probably go with the domains of Good and Protection to further aid the party in combatting outsiders. Because of this priest's natural rebelliousness, encouraged by Milani's faith, I think he'd get along well with the party rogue (and share the same alignment). And, because Milani was once a disciple of Aroden (much like Iomedae), I think that would make for some interesting interaction with the party paladin. Lastly, the tiefling bard and former-Hellknight in the group should challenge the priest to find ways to include such "reformers" in his own personal philosophy if he's to make any real difference in changing Westcrown.
If the concept is interesting enough to win you over, let me know and I'll go into more detail about stats, skills, feats, spell selection, etc. For the most part, this would be a front-line, not-afraid-to-mix-it-up, man-of-action kind of cleric...with strong personal convictions about trying to make a difference in Westcrown that's long overdue. Maybe even a secret avenger kind of thing if he keeps his "rebel" activities hidden from his family.
Thanks for the opportunity,
--Neil

Addendum: I'd also like to choose the Noble Scion feat (from the Cheliax entry in the Pathfinder Chronicles Campaign Setting) and have the character be from House Henderthane, foremost weapons manufacturer for Cheliax and its allies. With that kind of background, he could be secretly funneling money or even weapons to any "rebels" striving for change in Westcrown. It would also explain his trait of coming from Rich Parents and having more than the usual starting funds to buy equipment. It might also give him a connection with the Hellknight if the Henderthanes supply weapons to the Order of the Scourge.

My concept is a Chelish demon hunting cleric who was raised in the court of House Thrune. He serves the Church of Asmodeus, because they have learned many techniques that make killing a demon easier. He has come to Westcrown for two reasons. One is to hunt the shadow beasts that plague the city, because he believes they may be demonic in origin. The other is to find out the secret history of his family. Unknown to anyone but himself and his maternal grandfather, he decends from a noble line from before the Thrune takeover. They managed to disappear and then under a different name get into the grace of the House of Thrune. He is equally at home in the very lowest and very highest levels of society as a result.
If the DM allows I am planning on taking the Asmodean Demon Hunter trait from the Cheliax Pathfinder Companion.

Sorry this is a couple days later than initially intended, guys. It turned out to be a really busy weekend.
Anyway, with no further ado, I am pleased to welcome NSpicer to the game as Akorian the political firebrand. This was a very tough call, so PFox and David, don't sell yourselves short. All three concepts were excellent.
Spicer, please go ahead and introduce yourself on the discussion thread, and please let me know when Akorian's sheet is all set.

Will do. I'm making some final adjustments. Should post there soon.
