In the beta Headbands of XXX and Belts of XXX had their own slot. Headband and Belt respectively, which was separate from Head and Waist. Anyone know if this is still true?
Also are Armors and Shields in their own slots still?
Huh? As far as I know, the slots are the same as in 3.5, which means the head slot can hold "One headband, hat, helmet, or phylactery on the head", the waist slot can hold "One belt around the waist (over a robe or suit of armor)" and the robe/armor slot can hold "One robe or suit of armor on the body (over a vest, vestment, or shirt)". Shields and weapons don't take up slots, per se; if you have eight arms, you could hold eight shields, in theory.
EDIT: Now that I take a look, they left out the Magic Item Basics part of the SRD when they made the Beta rules. I sure hope they include that stuff in the final rulebook...

I believe I read that in the final edit, they went through and clarified and consolidated the slots.. for which I was much relieved. I think that was mentioned in the notes from PaizoCon.
I had the same question, as I had a wizard wearing a magic hat and a headband. It begged the question of when is a hat not a crown, headband, or head slot? I believe your answer to me, hograth, was that 3.5 views them as all the same (the head slot).
Again, my understanding of the final PF RPG Edit is that they caught this. And consolidated all the alternate terms used to describe the slots.. to eliminate this confusion.
