I am considering converting from 3.5 to pathfinder because of a religeous issue with one of my players. I am essentially a lazy GM and I would need a character generator before I made the change. I have looked at a generator on line, but it is not very user friendly. Do you (Paizo) intend to sell a character generator in the near future that is user friendly (like the metacreator programs)?

PCgen is excellent and supports many sets of d20 rules, among which Pathfinder beta. It is open-source and free.

OK, my curiousity compels me to ask...
(I love debating ideologies)
What religious issue would someone have with 3.5 that they don't also have with Pathfinder?
I doubt either is "kosher".
And if one's religion finds one of them to be "Satanic" as I have heard that some people believe, then it seems to me they would think the same of the other.
Unless we're operating in the margins of technicality, where a religion has blacklisted one game system but, because they have not yet heard of the newer system, that one has not been added to the blacklist. Yet. Though in this case, it seems like if the one is a candidate for blacklisting, then the other one would likely follow suit eventually.
So are you just looking for that temporary technicality?
Or is there an actual case to be made, at least within the confines of some religion, that one game system is acceptable but the other game is not?
Can you share this religion, and perhaps even the viewpoint of this religion that leads you to this change of game systems?
I'll understand if you don't want to. I'm sure it's a touchy subject. I've known friends who have quit D&D over religion, and one friend of mine had his entire 1st edition set of books (at least a dozen hardcover books) and hundreds of minitures cast into a furnace by parents who wanted to save him from the devil.
And don't even get me started on Patricia Pulling. Yuck!

Now that's a new one.
I haven't realised you can have Pathfinder as a religion.
Or is it a "D&D is a thing of the Devil" thing, and Pathfinder is exempt because it is not D&D in name?

Pathfinder Alpha II is the true revelation. Beta worshippers and hardcoverists are false prophets, and do not have the real word of Buhlman. Avoid the suffering that awaits you, and join with the followers of Alpha II, for it is written by the hand of Buhlman alone. Renounce the idolaters and the sinners who spurn the rage point and the weak of will who have moved from the light of the alpha to the darkness of beta. Those who stray from the path will be found wanting.
GOOGLE ALPHA PLAYTEST, OR YOU WILL STRAY FROM THE TRUTH!

Considering Pathfinder has a goddess like Calistria that no other setting can match up to, I have religious reasons for playing Pathfinder too.
Heck, all the deities in Pathfinder are better and more flavorful in my opinion.
... now they just need to get to work on detailing the Malcanthet equivalent and I'm good to roll.

I've always liked the Greyhawk Gods personally. St. Cuthbert is a classic clerical deity, Roa, Pholtus, also but from different veiws. Wee Jas with Le,Ln, and LG clergy makes for a very interesting church. Kord a civialized deity of strength being worshiped by the remnants of a once civialized people who have fallen to barbarianism is also an interesting diety.
Anyway I am still learning these new ones, but the old were gold indeed.

I'll join as long as there's a few others willing to chant with me in international airports!
Ok, regarding the new Deities, why are both Sun Gods female
Because they're hot!!!
Though I'd say that only Serenrae is a real sun goddess. Iomedae isn't as much about the sun as about light as a sight of goodness in general. That's why she gets the domain
, and both Earth Gods male? I'm fine with a little role reversal (haha, kidding) but c'mon, both? Ya sure, house rule it I guess but... both?!?!
And neither of the gods with the earth domain really is an Earth God in that neither represents Golarion the way, say Chauntea (Forgotten Realms) or Gaia.
Plus, why must the home planet be a chick? Plenty of male planets, like Mars and Jupiter!
