Master Index

General Discussion (Prerelease)

Has anyone worked on a "master index" for pathfinder things. A list giving you topics and which product to look at for it? I have most of the pathfinder products in at least pdf format... but let's say there's a write up about a certain church in a book I don't have, it would be nice to see that. I'd get the book, even though I don't need it for it's normal purpose. Also it would help a lot when locating stuff.

This is exactly what I was considering too so will append here.

We will soon get PFRPG rules and then lots of good supplements. How to keep up with all the new feats, spells, monsters, prestige classes, class variants, magic and non-magic items, items about elements of Golarion (geography, politics, religion, organisations, history)...?
How to incorporate all the relevant such 'stuff' from already published 3.5 material?

Could Paizo consider some sort of wiki, database, master index which would locate all, in summary format, of the source material please?

This would be a massive help and facilitator of actually using the new 'stuff' as it becomes available.

Thanks

Jason

Have you checked out the Pathfinder Wiki?

Thanks for the pointer and I have had a look at the wiki referenced.

It looks good and is definitely very useful.

It doesn't look official though and there are bits missing once you delve into the detail (spells, for instance).

I'd still like to know if Paizo are considering an official database / would like to suggest they consider it.

Thanks

J

Wikis are only as good as their contributors, and I know they are working diligently to get caught up on all the Paizo goodies out there.

FWIW, I do have my own PF indexing project in the works, though it will not be an Official Paizo Product. As far as an official one, you might be waiting for a while - darn overworked staff - though I'm sure they have considered it. :P
