The Acrobatics skills states that a creature gets a +4 bonus on acrobatics checks to jump for every 10 feet their base land speed is faster than 30.
As a monk's extra speed is an enhancement bonus, does that mean they are considered to have a base land speed of 30ft for this purpose?
A barbarian's land speed is 10 feet faster than the norm for their race. It's not mentioned as being an enhancement bonus, so a human barbarian would get the Acrobatics bonus, right?
Any insight gratefully appreciated.

I believe that both the monk and the barbarian would get the bonus, but ONLY for jumping, not for tumbling etc.

This strikes me as a case to apply a little logic and determine the RAI and not worry about the RAW.
Distance jumped is a factor of speed + lift.
Don't believe me, ask any of the Kineval family.
Go faster, or lift higher, or both, to increase your jump distance.
It doesn't matter if your reason for going faster is because you ahve fast legs, or a rocket strapped to your back, or you got shot out of a big rubber band. As long as you're going faster, you'll jump farther.
(yes, that is a little simplified, but really, do we need actual laws of physics, equations involving mass, velocity, gravity, wind resistance, lift, etc., for a RPG?)
So, in short, it doesn't matter whether you run fast because you're a barbarian, or a monk, or you have boots of speed, or whatever. You'll simply jump farther because you're running faster.
I think when they said "base land movement" what they meant was "you can't double your distance by taking a double move action" or something to that effect, though if so, they worded it poorly.

I had assumed that it was actually intended that they do *not* get the bonus, being they had an enhancement bonus to speed. Primarily because of the fact that at 5th level, they get to add their monk level to all Acrobatic checks for Jump, not need to make running starts, and can spend a ki point for a further +20.
I do agree it may make more sense from an in-game stand point for all bonuses to speed to provide that +4 bonus, but I am happy from a mechanics standpoint to leave it as a base only thing. D&D is abstract enough as it is, and there could be plenty of reasons why things with higher base speeds get the bonus and others do not. Also plenty of reasons why all should get it.
Up to the DM, really. By RAW, monks wouldn't get it. By RAI? It's debatable.
