Given Josh's post here and knowing that there are a lot of people online who don't have access to local PFS groups or conventions, I'm going to start running through the Season 0 scenarios once a week or every other week. I'll be using Pygon's TTopRPG tabletop emulator which he can give you a tour of if you ask him nicely on the unofficial Paizo chatroom. Right now I'm leaning toward Wednesday nights, possibly starting as early as next week. For anyone within the US, I will mail signed chronicles via snail mail. For players outside the US we might need to work out a different system.
So is there interest? Any questions?

What time are you thinking of for the game?
Id prefer 7 EST.

This is fantastic. Do you plan on running the same group every time or will you rotate? I can't commit to every week, but I'd love to sit in on one or two if you'll have me.
Having the same group would be great in that everyone would be familiar with TTop and have their characters pre-loaded, but the nature of PFS allows for the group makeup to shift based on availability, etc. The only problem I could see would be the level discrepancy that could start to come up if this is the only venue for people to play and level up. But that's also manageable.

That sounds pretty awesome to me, although I'm not the most computer-savvy fellow, so it make take me a day or two to figure out this program...
I'd be happiest playing a Cleric or Druid, and can design one that's niche enough that someone else could also play a Cleric or Druid and not step all over each others toes. (Indeed, some of my favorite parties have been all-Cleric or all-Druid!)

If you Go to the chatroom almost any time between 12 AM and 3 AM EST you can ask Pygon and he will be more than happy to give you a tour of TTop. Its really easy to figure out, and if there is something that you feel is missing you can put in a request and it might become a feature!
I'm thinking about making a bard/rogue as my main character and possibly a paladin as a backup/secondary character.

Great! I like seeing people interested. And anyone who's played at a con or whatever is more than welcome to join. Since I will be mailing chronicles, this needn't be your only PFS venue if anyone is interested in dabbling and playing multiple places.
Anyone planning on playing, it looks like next Wednesday will be the kickoff (I think). Email me at yoda8myhead<at sign>gmail<put a dot here>com with character sheets/statblocks and get TTop to start loading in macros or whatever. If you've played before and have chronicles, let me know and we can try to work out a way for me to check those.

hey Yoda, depending on which office I'm in on Weds, I should be able to make it some weeks (I get home between 7 and 8 depending on how important the things I'm working on is when its time to go). After this weekend I'll be Level 3 though, so I might have to wait a few weeks.. So Far I've done:
Dark Waters
Mists
Silent Tide (Ate this one)
Frozen Fingers
Hydra's Fang
Not sure which two I'll be running with Deathboy this weekend.

I'd love to give this a try, and Wednesday is a great time for me. When do you think you'll start?
I'm in Canada, but I could probably send you a cheque to pay for postage, if that helps.
I think we'll be ready to start next week. I'm working on loading the campaign into TTop so that I can have it all set to go by Wednesday. We will start with PFS#1: The Silent Tide and progress in order weekly.
So anyone who wants to play and can participate next Wednesday, 4/8 at 7pm EDT please respond here with your race, class, level, faction and PFS#. You'll also need to get TTopRPG and get a tutorial on creating your character within it from Pygon (who can usually be found on the chat). Send any specific questions to me at yoda8myhead<the "at" symbol>gmail.com. There are six spots available.

After further review of my (and my wife's) schedule, it looks like this will not be a possibility for me.
Good luck, everyone, and if my schedule opens up, maybe I can jump in a game or two somewhere along the line.
Sorry to hear that Ungoded. It's always possible to pop in every once in a while, so we'll look for you when you can find the time.

One question: Will this game use voice or "chat room"-type software?
TTop does not have voice capabilities, but I'm not opposed to using a voice application in parallel, though I have no experience doing so. If it's something you'd like to try, I'm more than happy to do some tests with it if you want to do so.

From what I understand, Ventrillo can do this pretty well. I've never setup a server for it, but I hear it's easy. I might be able to make that happen, if I can squeeze in some time to research it.

it does use chat software but have a button to show posts in char name, and ya can click it off the talk ooc
In some ways chat is nicer in that the GM can communicate with only one player for secret stuff but that's harder over voice. If someone can find out how to do it, I'd love to try it out.

Wednesday nights are actually my "good" weekday evening. I've been wanting to try PFS since it started, but lack of interest in the area has prevented that.
So, what do we need to know?
-Matt
Im obviously not yoda but...
You need to know how TTop works, the PFS rules, your mailing address, you PFS #, and you need to tell yoda your PFS character's race, level, and class.

Welcome, Matt! And David's correct in what you need to know. the hardest part is probably TTop, but it's got a pretty easy learning curve and those of us who are more familiar with it can help you out. So are you in?

OK! So I have received character sheets/stat blocks for three PCS and it looks like there are at least three others who have RSVPd on this thread. At the moment I have confirmations from:
Pygon, Clr1 (Abadar)
Montalve, Clr1 (Iomedae)
Hogarth, Wiz1 (conjurer)
The thread also indicates that we'll have
David Wickham, Brd1
seekerofshadowlight, Rng1
Skyler Brungardt, Brd1
This would make up a full table and all the bases are covered (assuming at least one of the bards is willing to perform(act) as a rogue/skill-monkey.
At this point, I'll consider anyone who expressed interest but either didn't give a specific character or PFS# or did so after Skyler an alternate (Set, Mattastrophic, RoboPsyche, Crimson Jester, etc.)
Everyone should add their attack, damage, save, skill, etc. macros into TTop so you can quickly play the character on Wednesday night. Pygon should be able to help with that if people have questions. Also, email me an image you'd like to use as your marker on the board so I can include it in the campaign image files.
I'm looking to start a google group so we can discuss things like scheduling, mailing addresses for chronicles, party makeup, technical questions, etc. as a group and not flood the Paizo boards with them. I'll let everyone know when I have that set up.

Awesome, 4th to respond to the thread (and first to offer up a class choice), and because I didn't see the post with your email (still can't find it, actually, 'cause I'm blind!), I'm an alternate! Swing and a miss for the slow guy! :)
Anywho, with two Clerics already in the top tier, I'd probably be better off using one of my Druids, either;
Maximilian Maro, Cheliaxian Druid from Hell or Shemsa Sobk, Osiriani Desertwalker.

Ive got the sneaking, npc interactions and trap beating with a stick covered. :)
If your lucky I might even try lock picks on a few locks :P

Don't feel to bad, we had been talking about it on and off in the chat room for a long time. :)
It looks like Hogarth and Skyler were the only non chatters that got in.

Yeah, I've made an attempt or two to get into the chatroom mentioned in the first post to talk to Pygon about how to input a character (his tutorial stuff assumes that you will be hosting a game, and doesn't seem to cover how to enter a character as a player), but the Paizo boards keep going down for me and whenever I think of it (between 12 and 3 AM), I can't log in to get the chat room address! (Yeah, yeah, I shoulda written it down, the internet being what it is, but I flaked out. My bad.)

Chat room is at http://chat.dmtools.org/. If you can, Set, show up tomorrow night for the game and we'll play with 7 players. I apologize for overlooking your class choice in your initial email. I have a feeling someone will have technical difficulties or simply be unable to make it, so as an alternate, you should get in anyway. But even if everyone makes it, we'll get you in.
