My DM allowed me, as a house rule, to get as a class skill the Knowledge skill pertaining to any favored enemies my ranger would select (as long as they are living creatures) and to add my favored enemy skill bonus to it (makes sense that you might know a few things about these critters you're so good at tracking and killing).
If Pathfinder does not allow it, ask your DM. If it makes sense, you might just get what you ask for ;-)
