Conjuration Specialist

General Discussion (Prerelease)

This may have been reviewed before, but I had a question regarding the armor bonus provided by the conjuration specialist wizard: Does this bonus act like bracers of armor in that they surround the wizard in an invisible but tangible field of force, just as though wearing armor?

As far as the Beta goes, the AC bonus provided by the Conjuration school is an Armor bonus, which means it doesn't stack with anything else that provides the same kind of bonuses such as wearing armor, Bracers of Armor, and the Mage Armor spell. Armor bonuses, however, do stack with Natural Armor ones as they are a separate category.

Now, whether said School Power manifests as a tangible field of force well... I guess so, as the effect should be similar to both Mage Armor and Bracers of Armor (with a most selective, not-an-action on/off switch of course, otherwise your mage wouldn't be able to even get dressed or go to the little mages' room. =P).

The second part was what I was primarily concerned with, the fact that it was a manifestation of invisible force (with the on/off switch) which should be listed in the description.
I thank you much, I just needed written confirmation that it was someone elses understanding as well, because the force effect has some desirable benefits as well.
