So I downloaded Howl of the Carrion King and I turned right to the new fiction by Elaine Cunningham (excellent work Elaine, if you're reading this), and I noticed this:
"...The Vudrani are fond of companion animals. Surely you, a druid, would understand that?”
“Most druids would. A few of us are bound to elements rather than animals."
"Water,"...
There are a few other places in the story that help exhibit that, but this is the single most place where it is exhibited.
Thoughts?

That's just the optional Nature Bond, where you can choose to have one of a specific list of domains - air, animal, earth, fire, plant, water or weather ... but the fact that this gal can go underwater for extended periods of time without drowning and the water heals her ... that is interesting and new :)

Hi, DMcCoy. Glad you've enjoyed Channa's story so far.

I like the idea of the Nature Bond. It suited Channa, who by nature and personality is very much a lone wolf.
Just for the record, she can stay underwater longer than most people, but not for extreme amounts of time. She finds water to be exceptionally soothing and healing, but not to the point where she could heal a knife wound with a quick dip in a pool. :)
It seems likely to me that any druid with a Nature Bond will react in similar fashion. For example, a weather druid might find the energy of a thunder storm invigorating and even empowering. Perhaps they can pick up anough energy to fuel an offensive attack. But that's not to say they attract lightening bolts and absorb (or channel) the full voltage of energy.
It'll be interesting to see how Nature Bond is fleshed out as the world unfolds.

Just helping you out with your hint.
(BTW, did anybody ever float "Paizoid?" Cause that's kind of fun.)
