I would like thank Jade for his dietary choice his (some would say) sacrifice in giving up the detestable habit of eating the fleash of other living creatures has ensured that my carnivorous a$$ has more to eat... thank you Jade from the bottom of my stomach :)

There's over 9 lbs of leg of lamb in my fridge...mmmm...

A nice unifying message from a non vegetarian. It was a good presentation, TH. Thank you very much for posting it.

Pleeeaase! Don't invoke Radioactive here! think of the sensless loss of life! Tony Levin will instantly materialize and proceed to pummel everyone in a 100 mile radius with something that looks loosely like a bass! NOOO!! It's madness!!

I have a studio outtake of Tony Levin riffing on a stick bass he built. It's... unreal.

And here I was thinking "Radioactive" was by Robert Plant. Has it been so long for me to forget?

Maybe Jimmy Page's guitar work on those albums is what threw you off.

Paul Rodgers was the other white meat in terms of singers who influenced so many rock singers. Think of David Coverdale doing an homage to Zeppelin with In the Still of the Night, when really his entire style is exceedinly Rodger's like.

I've always thought Layne Staley went unheralded as a modern example of singer who influences new singers. That whole goat drawl thing.

All a part of the plan, m'boy... all a part of the plan.

You should leave that in the comment box on that site.

I was going there to do so, but someone beat me to it :)

I wasn't really suggesting you were wrong. I just saw an excuse to use that Fonzie convention whereby he can't say the words, "I was wrong" without slurring.

Liberty's Edge

Maybe the whole "pig raising" thing should be rethunk or something.

Poutine a la Mairkurion: reason number bigillion that Jade is just WRONG.

On first glance I thought you were talking about something called pig raisins. For some reason, that's really fun to say aloud.

Come now, I've only been wrong a half a bagillion times.

Liberty's Edge

(lol) Kirth Gerson was talking about a "heroic defection" today and I thought he said "heroic defecation."

HAHA! Heroic defecation for the win!

(Jade: those were only the half a bagillion that you knew about.)

It's kind of funny, Mairkurion, because when I was a younger man I was right about everything, always. What happened?

Weird. I find that the older I get, the righter I get. (Not in some simplistic political spectrum, mind you.) Even my wife says, I hate how often you are right. (Basks in glow of own awesomeness.)

I was making a joke about perspective... but hey, man... if ya got it, ya got it. ;)

She's right behind you, dude.

I know. I was just being a blowhard.

Edit: Funny thing is, Heathy, if she had been behind me, she would have started screaming, "I know" and wholloping me. To get the full mental image, you have to know she's a foot shorter and 100 lbs lighter than me. That's okay, she actually makes money, unlike the worthless intellectual.

Liberty's Edge

heh heh....

Yep. A little over 10 years ago I came upon a major decision in my life.

Here were the two choices that I had:

A) Get into business for myself
B) Pursue my Doctorate

Thankfully, I picked "A". ;)

Only choose B if you HAVE to.
